No one has mentioned Pritchard..the lad ran his heart out tonight..gutted we lost but a learning curve for a few...still love Sunderland...they give a right go but quality shone through...proud of the lads!!
STID....HTL....FTM....
Pritchard looked a PL player tonight, as did Broadhead before his injury, they’ll be key to our promotion push IMO. Neil had his moments tonight as well. Winchester and Embleton were invisible for spells but also looked very good in a few passages of play.

Defence looks like our weak point. A proper commanding centre half and a decent winger in January and we’ll go up IMO.

Disagree, they won a free kick because the bloke who tortured Hume tripped over his own leg, which led to a corner and their goal.
Said that at half time a blatent foul by the sprinkler, Pepe tripped over his own leg
Shit marking for the corner followed though, Holding had the freedom of north london

Hume, Gooch, Doyle, Neil, Stewart.
Hume - not a good natural defender, just got rinsed.
Gooch - similar to Hume, dealt with Pepe better than Hume did though.
Doyle - made a couple of mistakes through lack of concentration and experience if anything, I do think he needs dropping though.
Neil - disagree entirely. Was good in the first half but then just couldn’t get into the game 2nd half. That was the case for all the team.
Stewart - very quiet game tonight.

I think not bothering to turn up is a harsh assessment mind, just outclassed really (2nd half especially).

he won't play for England, he's good but look at how good the arsenal team is man, its another level entirely

I agree. Plenty of players look a million dollars with the time and space awarded in the second division and championship. It’s a completely different world up in the top flight. That wasn’t Arsenal’s strongest side and we were up against their young side. The gulf in class was evident despite us having a really good go.

3 of their goals came from denver hume defending that left hand side. Basically every goal arsenal scored since he came on. Arsenal or not, its a problem. But they clearly targeted him.

In league one, denver hume will let more crosses in than he prevents.

He has to be playing and impressing at the level above at least quite soon. He’s 20 now, to play at the highest level he can’t be pissing about down here. If, as others are suggesting he’s England material, he needs Premier League football ASAP.
He needs to go ASAP tbh.

The longer he stays with us the more his chances of getting there diminish.

Sad but true.

Gulf in class showed.

The lads worked hard.

As an audition, well we know what's needed for both promotion and what we need in the champo.

Burge did good. Centre backs strictly L3. Full backs same. EE and DN could go all the way. Pritchard good for champo/ lower half Prem.

Rosco badly put offer. New strikes needed in Jan.

Gooch good for champo. Broadhead a bit too delicate but potentially Prem class.

We must get in the top 2.
