Are we gonna protest yet?

I'm not asking you to divulge info and neebody's crying over it. I just think it's laughable you've dreamt up some little plot and decided to come on here calling people 'limp wristed' for not doing the same.

I'll probably find it equally as laughable when you're being chased around the pitch like a set of tits.

First of all, we are all limp wristed including myself and my pals, we have in a coma for years and fuck all has been done by anyone.

It is very much a little plot, from
Acorns and all that, we won’t be running on the pitch, we won’t be throwing tennis balls, we won’t be blowing bubbles, we won’t be having mock funerals.
If that disapoiting you I’m sorry, we are not An organisation we are Middle Ages blokes who go to the match for a social
Occsssion but have a deep love for the club. The very club that is being killed in front of us and not one person is doing anything about it, no matter how big or small.
Would I love some huge to make headline news, of course, I’m sure we all would, so unless you have any better ideas.....?

That's because he was the only one getting booed...go figure.

Look, there's no point arguing with you because you treat the club like a cult. I'm sorry to inform you it's a business, or rather a TNC. You've even been on here saying you will never criticise Byrne for the way she handled the Johnson fiasco. Have you ever criticised the club? Because if not, then you are not a free person. You are literally brainwashed, and that being the case, there is nothing I can do to convince you otherwise.

Only one getting booed! Sure. And you go on to call me brainwashed?

So who exactly at the club do you think I should be criticising? And to what end? What do you hope to gain by being critical? Don't bother answering that, you already seem to be convinced that because you booed Rodwell, he never played for us again.

Thanks for that by the way - if it was genuinely your doing, you've left us with a player that isn't playing for us who's on £70k a week. Nice one. Well done. Take a bow. What's your next trick, repeat your Rodwell feat with each of the rest of the squad in turn? I look forward to us having to field the entire under-18's squad every week while 25 senior squad members pick up their wages to sit in the Metrocentre playing arcade games on a matchday as the club's debts spiral further and we drop out of the league altogether.

You're right there. Your attitude is straight out of the middle ages, when mobs would burn women for being witches.

Hasn’t it already beenconfirmed
You don’t even bother your arse to go to the games!
I’m Sure you’re not the only one on this thread that doesn’t go to be fair.

A step up from Neanderthal Man I suppose...

All that's been confirmed is your predisposition for confirmation bias.

A third party arrives and gives you one statement that in your own mind will nullify everything I've said without you needing to think for yourself and actually address the points I made and BINGO you cling to it like it's gospel truth and an argument winner without even waiting to find out whether it's true or not.

Aww fyl’s got a friend

So you don’t go then? Or
You do? You are being very private about this. This makes me wonder!

It's no secret I'm pretty much housebound through illness and have been for the past few years. Like many of the best lies, the one your friend on this thread told you that you instantly clung to without fact-checking because it suited your agenda is loosely based on an element of the truth. It's true I can't make it to the matches these days, but it's absolute bollocks to suggest I "choose not to" or "can't be bothered to".

I don't see how my recent attendance record is relevant to any of the points I've made on the thread, nor is it any of your business when or why I do or don't attend.

Play the ball, not the man. It speaks volumes that you were so desperate to cling to the "you don't attend therefore your argument is null" fallacy as soon as the possibility arose for you to get out of actually answering any of my points.

Good luck with whatever you have planned. When you see what the West Ham fans did because they don’t like the fact theyre not near the top of the PL , I’m very surprised there has been nowt happening here. As long as it’s legal and not violent people have a right to protest if they so choose.

Being an owld un, I must say we've took this fiasco rather passively this time round.
I just suspect the constant drivel and mediocrity we've watched over the last 60 years has worn every fucker down old and young.
I remember Bob Murray being given hell, with people damaging the directors cars and hoying bricks up at the directors windows at Roker Park.
Going back to the second ever relegation against Liverpool in '70, there was complete carnage after the game.
I remember a Police Panda car being turned on it's head in Roker Baths Road, and Barclay Court hardly having any windows left in from fans making their way back into the town, although they probably improved it.

Haway man, you've been describing the atmosphere at the stadium without being there.

Having been there all season and last your description isn't accurate at all.

These tracksuit clad charvas dying to have a protest........innit.

Just puberty playing havoc with the aggression hormones

Sorry to hear you are housebound, you certainly haven’t missed anything, but if you don’t go then opinions are very much watered down imo.
I make no apologies for that opinion.

Sky has made it all about money, and not just on the pitch but at every level. Time was supporting Sunderland used to be affordable for most. It's not now, and what do you get in return?

Feels like enough folk have run the cost benefit calculation of supporting the club and worked out in the grand scheme of things it's not worth it. Their protest is they stopped giving a shit. They're not going to put even more of their precious resources, including time, into fighting a battle that has no real end in sight.

At no stage in our downfall have we kept our mouths shut.

In my opinion, displaying our anger so frequently has had a detrimental effect on the confidence of many of the players and contributed at least a little towards us being where we are now.

What I'm saying is that we fans have the choice of whether to try to help break the team out of that cycle or to continue to be abusive and allow the cycle to continue unabated.

Who said anything about celebrating? I'm talking about supporting, encouraging, striking fear into the opposition to give our lads whatever small advantage we can give them.

This is why you're getting grief. You may be housebound (and that's an awful thing for you), but you bang on like you are Mr Uberfan in a condescending manner to the real fans who actually do go and use their voices. You don't.

Haway man, you've been describing the atmosphere at the stadium without being there.

I can hear it on the TV and radio feeds. Are you saying it's just a small group that happen to sit next to the commentators' box, and all the threads about it by other people are folk who just happen to sit in that same area?

Confirmation bias  hes indoctrinated bless him.

You disagree about the two examples of it I gave, then?

So, are you saying that you agree with the other feller that Rodwell is the only player who has been booed this season, and the fact he never played for us again afterwards is all the proof you need that protests work?

Or are you saying that taking someone else's post as gospel truth without fact-checking it when it confirms your pre-existing opinion isn't an example of confirmation bias either?

You might want to look up these phrases before you laugh at someone for pointing them out.

Sorry to hear you are housebound, you certainly haven’t missed anything, but if you don’t go then opinions are very much watered down imo.
I make no apologies for that opinion.

So, if you yourself were ill one week and you had to miss a match, having to settle for watching it on TV, then you're saying that your own opinion on that game couldn't be taken seriously?
