Are Leeds Fans Ungrateful?

They all seem rightfully very pleased from what I've read, seen and heard lately?

They vast majority wanted him out around early December mind, and in a last throw of the dice he changed his tactics. If they'd lost against Chelsea that night, he'd have been sacked.

Unsurprisingly, players who are suited to playing quick and direct actually playing that style, improved their results.
Us and leeds have have both donr very well but we’ve been pretty much a top 5/6 team the first half of the seaon and bottom 5/6 team the second half. Leeds have done it the other way and I exoect tgem to get points at spurs and West Ham. Think Europe is out tge window no now so finishing above Leeds and the mags and on 50 points plus not one Sunderland fan can moan then.

Leeds fan I know has stated all season we are in a false position, I've told him he's talking bollox as the league table dont lie, plus thanks for the 4 points

At this moment in time. I’m saying at the end of the season I think they’ll be above us. Plus they’ve had the Wembley semi final in the cup
How have they had a better season than us? Look at the facts: they finished 24 pts ahead of us last season, which they didnt stop banging on about, now they’re ‘gloating’ that they’re only 4 pts behind us.

We’ve been comfortably above them all season and we’ve never even flirted with relegation, they’re a West Ham win away from still being in it come next Monday.

We’ve played twice and got 4 pts from them.

They’re 4 points behind us with 3 tricky fixtures (for both clubs) left. I hardly think it’s nailed on they’ll finish above us but even if they do, who gives one, I still wouldn’t swap seasons.

Oh, and the Wembley semi final that counts towards their ‘amazing season’ supposedly, they didn’t turn up, and nor did their fans, they were both awful.

I’m saying I think they will finish above us. That and the semi final will mean a better season than us

Frankly even if we finish - say - 13 and them 14, the safety plus the cup semi will mean it’s a better season in my opinion

The only way they will have had a better season than us is if they finish above us. Nothing else matters

Strange how they seem to know everything about out transfers and they have only brought it up now since they are in a little run?
No a lot of them were banging on in the summer and laughing about how we had overpaid for their targets such as Sadiki, Roeffs, Diarra and Brobby (tbf they were maybe right with Diarra), looking a bit daft with the others though.

I’m all for balance and unbiased views but frankly don’t have time for those of our fans who seemingly put more energy into undermining our achievements and championing our rivals than they do supporting and acknowledging our incredible success of the last 2 years. I’ll leave it at that.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion.

Tbh I don’t recall Leeds being after Roeffs or Brobby but I may be wrong

It’s kind of punching downward to post a comment from one fan and then create a pile on. I get it’s a Sunderland forum so if it makes you feel happy / better / superior then ok. For what it’s worth I think you had a solid start to the season but have since been found out but again that’s no real surprise. For a newly promoted club that have been out of the top flight for so long it’s to be expected as other teams have had years to recycle their squads

What I would say though is you guys seem to have real alignment right through the club from the owners, the DoF, RlB, senior players probably all the way down to the tea lady. That makes the sum of the parts greater than the individual components and is not to be sniffed at

Their was quite a thread on it mate on a Leeds facebook site regarding the transfers and its very interesting to see how its panned out over the season, as a regular poster you will remember how a lot of Sunderland fans were critical of Leeds signing of DCL with his injury record, just shows what fans know 😆, as it is we have both done very well.

I agree…I was critical of it myself!

Leeds have closed the gap mainly because we were in reality safe at Xmas.Whereas leeds have been fighting for every point to stay up.Think a little bit of on the beach amongst some of our players.

I’m sure if they had the injuries we’ve had and AFCON (I realise that was self imposed) to contend with, they would have as many points.

We’ve both had good seasons, I’m not sure why their fans need to constantly compare themselves to us. 13th or 14th place, does it really matter?
