Are Forest a big club

Yes all the things you mentioned.
No one comes close to the top 4 I mentioned earlier.
Then 5th and 6th would be Chelsea and Manchester city due to recent success.
Beneath them is probs 20 teams who could argue there bigger than them
Chelsea are top 4. Massive European reputation too.

2 European cups, 2 UEFA cups, 2 cup winners cups , 2 super cups , 1 club World Cup. I think that puts them above Spurs definitely, and they show arsenal up in Europe although the gunners are still a bigger club imo .
Ok then top 5

Spurs where selling out 90k at Wembley when they had to move for a year. Not sure Chelsea would ?

Not just about support though. Spurs have massive support in England on par with Chelsea or bigger but those honours stack up well.
Its debatable. We have more league titles than spurs but we know where no where near unfortunately.

Carling cup
Sunderland v crewe 8 Aug 2023 — Attendance: 10, 763

Carling cup Leeds v Shrewsbury 9 Aug 2023 Attendance: 35,129

Pick out one off cup games to prove what. What did both clubs average in in 2022/23? Tell me the average League attendance of both clubs over that last 10 or 20 years? Also we have spent more time in the lower leagues in the last years. If Leeds have poorer attendances, hang your head in shame…..then unsubscribe.

Wasnt the great chelsea bought for a pound in the eighties? The worlds gone mad ,in Todays football Brentford is a huge club!Yes huddersfield have won more league titles than spurs and the mighty arsenal took 40 years in the football league before they won anything ..history is irrelevant if you dont plough the premier league your a non entity, its sad but it really is as clear cut as that! The american and the sweeney todd wannabees are going to destroy football and probably have already lit the fuse!

Sorry but that simply isn't true, West Ham do have a good fanbase that is correct and their attendances were definitely rising before there stadium move and they were selling out a 35k stadium but to suggest they could have sold out a bigger stadium decades before is simply bullshit they averaged well below 25k many times before the turn of the century

New match going fans have been attracted to the new stadium by low prices for adults in many parts of the stadium around £320 for a season ticket and 15k seats at kids prices of £99 for a season ticket which has attracted lots of families which is a good thing for West Ham going forward

Also West Ham like Arsenal and many other clubs report attendances by the tickets that are sold and not the actual attendance on the day, Spurs are one of the few clubs that report the actual attendance on match days, hence if you look on police records the actual attendances are often as low as 45k at West Ham as they were at Arsenal before they improved massively over the last year or two.

Im not saying west ham could have sold 60k tockets every year of theoir existence..but not many clubs could..SAFC couldnt...
I do know there was a huge waiting list to buy west ham tickets when they plaed at uptpon park..because I was on that list..sure they have "cheap" tickets..but as they are run like a business...unlike safc was in the premier league..their turnover has quadrupled...that doesnt happen because you are giving your product away..
This is where it’s arguable. Huddersfield have won more league titles than Spurs.
how many eurpopean trophies do huddersfield have?

I’m not genuinely saying Huddersfield are the bigger club there, just that there are arguments to be made for how you measure these things. No definitive way.

Just been listening to talk sport tonight and they are being termed as football “giants”.

I know about the 2 European cups obviously but did abit of digging on wiki, won less than I thought historically.

Thoughts ?
Are we a big club? Yes.
Have we won 2 European cups? No

So yes, they are in the big club bracket. Have only them and real madrid won it back to back? Absolutely incredible achievement that.

I knew they needed a bigger ground but that’s a huge leap . Something must be going on to be filling it like they do . There’s clubs with bigger fan bases who couldn’t pull those crowds in.

Wouldn’t argue with that
Something must be going on. It is. The current all time popularity of football and the current all time popularity of the population wanting to be a part of something live. West Ham hit the jackpot when they scooped the Olympic stadium. Even my, at the time, laughable prediction of 50,000 average crowds has been blown out the water.
We are drawing 40,000 plus. Derby and Ipswich almost 30,000. Bradford in the fourth tier almost 20,000. Leeds getting more consistently bigger crowds than when Revie's finest ( or dirtiest ) were winning the odd trophy and finishing runners up just about every other year.

Where has this character called ‘Peace’ gone? I’m still waiting for the reply?

West Ham had the perfect scenario regarding their stadium move to the Olympic stadium, firstly they have a massive fanbase in their heartland of Essex and decent support in some of the other home counties, then very importantly they have the perfect location in Stratford for transport links via car or train travel etc.

Added to the above they made the stadiums ticket prices very affordable by London standards lot's of adult season tickets are priced at £320 and 15k kids season tickets priced at £99 each which along with the new stadium excitement has attracted lot's of families to their new home ground.

One drawback currently is that West Ham still don't generate as much revenue from the stadium as some people might think which is currently around £35m/£40m per season, but it will come to fruition in future decades when those kids grow up.

Forest crowds for the last 30 odd years have been poor.
Had a good spell under Clough 50 years ago but football was different back then when the likes of Derby and Villa could also win the league.
Beat Swedens finest Malmo in a European cup final, which shows just how money has changed the sport and is incomparable to the here and now .
In the 50/60’s Notts County apparently had the bigger crowds !
