Thats 1st class cricket done for him.....mind to suffer a recurrence of that injury from about 12 matches over 3 months and under 100 competitive overs is massively worrying.

Hope he recovers well and can manage the world cup before cutting back

Think it gets overlooked but i was going mental when Root had Wood steaming in during the Ashes 4th test when Australia were setting up for a declaration.

Roots biggest fault as captain was definitely not being able to look after our quicks
 
Last week it was reported that an IPL franchise had offered him one of those 12m contracts.

Why would they offer one to someone who spends more time on the treatment table than on the pitch?
