Anything less than a win at the weekend is unacceptable

I've already accepted we're probably going to be relegated but losing at the weekend, at home with our backs to the wall, will confirm to me we're all but doomed and the trend of losing has no chance of stopping.

If we lose, Advocaat has to go. What's the point in him being there? If the writing is on the wall that we're going down, we may aswell plan ahead. He won't be here in the summer.

I think we will start well and look quite attacking. However West Ham are playing good counter attacking stuff and will hit us then. If we score early it could be different.

I don't think the players we've brought in have it in them to fight. Castaways at their old clubs and didn't play regularly.

I think the most important thing is a performance, West Ham are flying away from home and we are leaking goals for fun. Draw is probably the best we can hope for, but a battling defeat wouldn't be the end of the world providing we build on it. I don't accept relegation is a done thing, we don't have a great squad, but there are more than three poorer teams in the division.

A performance?! We had that against Spurs. Fat lot of good that did!

I couldn't give a fuck if we play well as long as we win. If we don't win but play well, what difference does that make?

Sorry like but I can't agree with this.

We need a win from somewhere, the performance is irrelevant at this stage.

When you look at our fixtures up until the end of the year it's hard to see where a win comes from. Sooner we get one and a bit of confidence the better.

I don't think that us judging what will or won't be " acceptable" will have any bearing. I agree with your post, though.

I wouldn't take a point, we have to go for the win. We've only got 2 points and tomorrow its October!!!
Would you take a point vs none though?

Not sure where this notion our quality isn't too bad has come from. Our squad in rancid, absolute filth.

All of our full backs are shite. All of our centre backs are shite, except maybe O'Shea who's a smidge better than shite.

We have a collection of lower level midfielders (Larsson, Gomez and Rodwell). Mvila might be better if he continues in this vein. Of our other midfielders, Cattermole looks shot and Toivonen, so far looks more like a (very poor, slow and immobile) targetman.

Up front, our best goalscorer doesn't fit into our system, is 102 and long past his best. Our reserves centre forwards are proven shite. Johnson is canny when motivated but he's got shit going on. Lens looks average so far, and lazy. And Borini has to play out wide as he's the only one who'll help his full back.

Our squad quality is dire, and the balance of it is dire.

With the squad we have, we wouldn't get in the play offs in the Championship. We're f***ing awful man.
