Any changes for the 4th Test

Because none of them have shown on this tour they’re good enough have they? You pick who you think is best and back them. Otherwise we just go back to the 90s set up of chopping every test hoping something will stick.
James Rew has certainly merited consideration. Yes, you back them but do it for too long and it leads to complacency. Competition is always necessary and healthy
Afternoon

Name some names on cricketers you think could do better than the bloke with the 7th best start in history
I wouldn't know unless they're given opportunity. Try reading posts before you respond to them. The key word in your post I've put in bold.

Would you drop him, you can have good indicators, that's like saying you don't know Dan Neil isn't as good as our current midfielders because he hasn't had the chance.

Weaknesses are quickly identified and exploited. You need to adapt.

Those current midfielders, pre AFCON,weren't displaying weaknesses hence not a need for replacement

I refer you to the current England batting averages for this series.

Yeh,you're fully entitled to your opinion even if lacking a little in diplomacy Each to is own.

No,I'm floating the idea of the need to freshening the batting.
Then replace Crawley pope and smith not the second best player

You mention Rew. His numbers are basically the same as anyone in the team. There’s always the opportunity for someone to smash the door down and get in. Brook did it himself.

Yeh,that's the point I'm making. Guaranteed places leads to complacency. It's that and staleness That 's purely my humble opinion.

I’d bring some of the Lions lads in to see what they can do as there is little point persisting with the current crop of failures.

I’d definitely see what Haines can do opening the batting.

Cummins might be done for the series, seems like his body has struggled for this match (despite bowling brilliantly) and they took a risk while the series was live. Definitely hinting that he's missing Boxing Day.

My team for the 4th test would be

Crawley
Haines
/Mckinney - Haines on weight of runs or Mckinney on potential?
Stokes - if he can see off Starc, think he could score big with Lyon out
Root - prefers batting here, him and Stokes bat well together
Brook
Smith
- let him focus on batting
J Rew - good batter, need energy from the WK
Ahmed - if our spinner is going to go at 5's might as well play a leggie who's a better bat then Jacks
Archer
Atkinson
Tonge

Carse has been too inconsistent and we need to apply more pressure and control with the ball.

Jacks probably plays and Bethell and Duckett - given it does not appear they will select anyone from outside the squad
