A strong set up would tell him to change first before dropping him

Question - do we want to win a test, or just get out of Australia ASAP? Think it would be harsh to drop any of the Lions straight into the team at the MCG, but some of the current squad appear unelectable
Looking at the current squad (such that it is) you'd say Duckett, Pope and Atkinson look shot. Jacks and Smith probably retain their places based on the 2nd innings. Maybe the rest will have helped Atkinson, do you risk Archer in back to back tests?

He isn't changing though. It's not ridiculous at all to drop someone who isn't performing. This lot have it far too comfortable.

They are entitled. That doesn't mean to say they cannot be dropped. I haven't changed my view from the other day about Brook.

They have, I kind of agree and disagree with you?

It appears they have been far to lax and not give any players accountability and have been too comfortable so see your point.

You can’t tell players to go out and play their shots then drop them for doing soo.

you have to give them clear messages, if they give him that clear message and he still doesn’t change I am with you.

But it would be wrong to drop him now

It’s about perspective when this happens, they is no way they is another 6/7 batsman in this country better than the current bunch.

To have a totally new batting line up would be a knee jerk reaction and a total loss of perspective.

It the messaging that needs to change not the whole batting line up.

We'll never know unless we find out. It's far too cushy this setup and it's incredible arrogant and that starts at the top.

Root has scored a century and is averaging 43 which is 15 higher than Brook who is averaging 3 more than Archer... so in answer to your question I wouldn't drop Root or Stokes. Brook hasn't shown a single ounce of common sense/digging in/understanding the game situation. Stokes at times has single hand dragged this team along himself, made mistakes with some decisions (which I've said numerous times this series) but he's one captain I would absolutely thrive playing for, he's everything I want in a leader... Never hides, puts his body on the line and gets stuck in. Again I repeat myself but I don't question the talent of Brook but he's absolutely thick as shite.

So not a new batting lineup now onto brook he's going to become the 7th fastest in test history to 3000 test runs he might be brainless at times but you don't go dropping players with his numbers I'd like to know who you would bring in you might get someone coming in who might get out to attacking or stupid shots less but they wouldn't produce the numbers he does.

We need to win one of these tests to give us confidence that we can actually beat these otherwise I fear we’ll never beat them down under again! Getting whitewashed with no Hazlewood plus Lyon and Cummins only playing two tests would be extremely embarrassing.

If England dropped all the top 5 apart from Root, I would applaud it and I doubt any of them could have any complaints. I repeat for about the 100th as you seem to not understand, I'm not questioning his ability. His mentality is embarrassing, shit for brains and that needs to change. He won't be dropped but I'd have no complaints if he was.

It’s well past extremely embarrassing, that bird flew a while ago. It is a shambles, there is no evidence of leadership whatsoever or any strategy or even simple plan.
