Anthony Gordon to Bayern.

Doubt the fee is much something like 25-30m as manu just want shot of him, but the wages for us at least would be astronomical, thats before even trying to persuade him to make the drop in team quality in fairness.
Can see him shuffling off to Italy tbh
He’s got Roma written all over him.

Yep, maybe actually milan or some such as they haven't made champs league so will be pressure to get that right and will no doubt have a half decent chance of winning the europa next season.
I'd expect him to do well in Italy, still a great player, just seems a bit of a prick, although that's the same as many other players I guesa

£250k + a week then the potential that making him top earner unsettles others.
Very good player.

Huge bit of business for them. The player isn't as great as made out, and has a chip on his shoulder, which will cause problems eventually. To get that kind of fee is massive and a very easy decision to make.

Gordon's ego will get stroked for a while over there as the Spanish league isn't a patch on the PL, especially playing for one of the top two in that league. He should do well, if he (and his skin) can adjust to life in Spain.....For a season or two anyway.
I think he'll thrive as he'll have more space to run into.

I think the price was 1st quoted by the European press and was €70m, the UK press was lazy to change it to pounds.
That's £60m, £50m remaining after Everton get their 15%.

If we would only made a £5m profit on one of our star players (Mukiele, Roefs, Sadiki...) that would be a bad business model.
BBC reporting it as 69.3m (80m euros) but use the terms ''worth more than'' so i assume a chunk is based on add ones and performances.

69.3m then minus the 15% (which is a percentage of profit made, not the whole fee) which they then lose around 4million of

so 65million, 20m profit.

Still think they've done incredibly well to get that kind of fee for him

And this new offside rule makes pace even more effective
You can see why Barcelona are £2 billion in debt.

You'd think so, the Spanish league just hasn't the strength in depth the prem has where pretty much every game is a grind to win and he'll be playing with a far higher level of players
Despite him being a mag, he's a very good player, fast, willing to take players on and does his fair share of the donkey work tracking back.
Bad news for rhe mags losing such a good player regardless of the fee they get

also this

Romano is the key source on this and he's quoted €69m which is essentially £60m. £2.5m to Everton (15%) and they are making about £12m on him.

I expected him to go for more.

It isnt amortised. It fully realises on sale.

Thats not the same as being paid to Everton. That depends on the contract and may already be fully paid and may be paid to match amortisation. Theres no reason it needs to be either way other than cashflow
Thanks!
The fee is €70m according to Romano. Can you recalculate your figures please?
Oh really? I read £69.3m somewhere. So not a huge profit but not still a good uplift for PSR purposes

Accountancy wise it'll be a lot more as a lot of the initial transfer fee will already be discounted as he's been there what 3 seasons?

Selling your top goal scorer and player most suited to the high press there most successful style of play, yeah that’s a real positive especially to other teams 😂.
Replacing him with a similar standard player will cost big, unless Howe going to work his magic with Elanga, Wissa and Walt.
Got a feeling he won’t be the only big name to leave this summer.
Barnes is the replacement.
Unfortunately he’s as effective a player in PL terms, seems a nice lad, doesn’t look like a female tv presenter and doesn’t do comedy haircuts.
The SMB has lost out big time on this deal.
