Anthony Gordon to Bayern.

15% of £69.3m goes to Everton. Let’s just say £10m (assuming the sell on clause was based on fee and not profit). So £59m to the mags.

Gordon was signed for £45m over a reported 5 year deal in 2023. £9m per year. (£27m)

It’s going to have a positive impact on PSR - but what happens to that extra £18m outstanding - is that still amortised over the remaining two years of what his contract was or does it need to be paid up now he’s moved on?
Settled immediately I think.

It isnt amortised. It fully realises on sale.

Thats not the same as being paid to Everton. That depends on the contract and may already be fully paid and may be paid to match amortisation. Theres no reason it needs to be either way other than cashflow

Magedia bingo

Newcastle hierarchy stand firm
Want away player
Tremendous business by Eddie and the team
Learned from the Isak saga
Invest in world class replacement
Title push

What's that, about £60M, less £2-3M to Everton. So circa £58M, Eddie will blow that on some more shite.

They've got a bit of a rebuild to do this summer, hopefully it goes as well as last summer's business.
The Everton cut will be more like 9 million, reported to be 15%.
If he cost the reported 45 million when signed the profit is not a great one, only around 6m quid.

Isn't the fee from Barca £60M GBP though, if so that's £60 - £45 = £15M at 15%, i e. £2.25M.
Good point, it will probably only be on profit. I’d taken 25% of the whole fee.
Still only a modest profit, we could probably make more than that profit on pretty most of our regular first team players.

Selling your top goal scorer and player most suited to the high press there most successful style of play, yeah that’s a real positive especially to other teams 😂.
Replacing him with a similar standard player will cost big, unless Howe going to work his magic with Elanga, Wissa and Walt.
Got a feeling he won’t be the only big name to leave this summer.

Tbf they have had Barcas pants down
100% they have, funny though I posted what I said on twitter linking Sunderland AFC and WTF podcast and its been viewed nearly 30,000 times with about 30 replies from them claiming we’re obsessed with them !!! I know its typical twitter but my god i’ve never viewed any random wind up post by a mag once nevermind being part of 10’s of thousands doing it

The fee is €70m according to Romano. Can you recalculate your figures please?

BBC Sport are reporting the sale as a 'change in transfer stragety'
Wonder what the headlines will be if/when we lose one or two lads to bigger clubs
