Anthony Gordon to Bayern.

I agree I don’t get it either - I never watch the Mags though cos I can’t stand them but in the 2 games against us he’s not done much. He did have a good spell in a few CL games I guess so that might explain Munich interest…but having watched their semi v PSG I don’t see how he gets into that team he’s not that good I don’t think.

To me it seems like there’s so much media/Sky generated hype about the Mags that their players get massively hyped up and they end up getting massive transfer fees for them. Reminds of when Liverpool paid them a fortune for Andy Carroll I couldn’t see what all the fuss was about him either 😁

who is expected to start on the left? Rashford? or will Rogers be out there
Rashford. Tuchel sees Rogers as a 10 so he'll either be starting as a 10 or on the bench. Tuchel made a comment a while back about not shoehorning players who he sees as 10s out wide just to get them in the team.

If you expect Kane to drop deep, you want players who will run into the space beyond him. From the left our only two options really are Rashford and Gordon.

He might not have been clinical recently, but he definitely has attributes (pace and directness) to drive into the space left by Kane and hopefully link up with Kane, Bellingham and Saka
I think Morgan Rogers is a far better bet on the left and more likely to be Tuchel’s chosen option. Unless he decides to play him in a more central role.

He's quick, direct, can dribble and generally grafts. A typical English player in many ways.

Not sure how beneficial that'll be in the summer heat when he's knackered and lacks the technique of the Iberians, French or South American players.

Twas ever thus.

Thing is, Rashford is far quicker and more powerful....Gordon is powderpuff! Even Barnes is physically better than Balding!

He's not worth the money being touted.

He's a very effective player in a specific system - he was a great foil for Kane under Southgate so I can see why Bayern are interested.

Howe played him as a number 9 for a fair bit of last season, which partially explains his goal tally (especially against weak opposition) but also explains why he looked so poor for a lot of last season.

There's a long, long list of players ahead of him if I've got £80m to spend, mind you.

His main game is to run really fast, dangle a leg and try and win a penalty. Against top defenders who don't dive in, he has nothing.

He has ability and pace. But from what I've seen of him, apart from a few purple patches, he seems to be all fart and no shite. I suspect his high opinion of himself hasn't helped him kick on.
