Annie Nightingale RIP

Used to listen to her a lot when the original dubstep wave started mid to late 2000's. She was cracking and always into championing new stuff throughout her career.

In the late seventies her show was on earlier, around 5pm iirc.

I thought it was on late afternoons (assumed before the Top 40 chart show)

There were always lots of University students writing in, requesting non mainstream music and talking about aspects of their University life. I spent 2 years thinking how great it was going to be when my mundane life in Accrington was replaced by something much more exciting with these alternative types. Then when I got there in 1980, I discovered the people on my course liked Bucks Fizz records and watched Coronation Street.

RIP Annie
