says he's fitter than he's ever been, seems daft not to pick him just because of his age, my worry is he keeps going and goes out on a whimper (which he'd probably prefer) or with the fans turning on him for hanging on
I actually think that his batting has been so hopeless recently that that might start to count against him when it comes to a ‘toss of a coin selection’.

Aye the body might be fitter than ever, but the hand eye coordination surely naturally gets worse.
Especially as back during his run of most games without a duck he was getting more batting practice in(as he played white ball then)
I've always found batting harder than bowling. Bowling like riding a bike for me, but batting you can be out first ball and then that's it.
