Imagine letting him go to talk to another club the day before a game man.

Surely could have waited until after the game. Absolute shambles from the top again.

Deserve absolute pelters at the game tomorrow
Exactly mate. Literally just said similar.

Did not expect this shit today.

Me neither but over the last five or six days particularly I suspected there was disquiet. There’s a way managers communicate at times and journalists report stuff that just has an ominous ring. James Hunter putting that previous article out yesterday wasn’t a good sign. For all local journos get the ‘they know nowt’ treatment on here, their ears are often close to the ground and they work with managers closely.

Even if Neil isn’t appointed Stoke manager, I see no way back for him here having had talks with them. Regardless of whether or not he’s been short changed by the clubs hierarchy, we’re Sunderland and you can’t talk to Stoke and expect to be welcomed back. England and one of the real big clubs nigh be tolerated, but not many else.

The club have fed the journos bollocks about him going to Stoke for talks. He appears in the presser with 4 new world class signings and an announcement he has a 5 year contract..
If only carlsburg did Friday afternoons
All part of a big moral crusade against fake ITKs with Alex telling everyone not to believe everything they read on the internet with his dry wit and a wry almost-smile

It's very much this for me. I don't really care what Alex Neil thinks of Sunderland as a football club, our history or our fans but what's gone on behind the scenes to make him think Stoke are a better prospect for him than Sunderland?

If he does go I hope the reason it is just about money or some personal reasons. His comments about Broadhead the other week when he signed for Wigan and now this... not sure about any of it.

Exactly the same feeling as allardyce departure

Difference is that was for England not f***ing Stoke
