This whole thing is ridiculous. If his current contract is such that a club half our size can potentially take him so easily then the Club should have put him on a much tighter contract earlier . Also very disappointing that AN would even consider the post in the first place as is suggested if hes talking to them.
Not good this.!

If it’s true his direct employers can fuck off more like. Just goes to show there’s no ambition and we’re still a massive shit show behind the scenes.
Imagine letting him go to talk to another club the day before a game man.

Surely could have waited until after the game. Absolute shambles from the top again.

Deserve absolute pelters at the game tomorrow

Even if it doesn't happen the fact that he's travelling down there now the day before a game leaves a sour taste. We should never have let it get to this stage and it's hard to see a way back.

Tricky one.

IMO if he’s pushed to want to speak to Stoke then his position here in untenable now.
Whys that? The bloke has asked to be backed with x amount of players he hasnt got them. I said all along hed be away if he wasnt backed and people with their head in the clouds were saying no way hed walk he worked under a tight budget at preston etc. Hes been a breath of fresh air for this club and for the owners not to give him the tools he needed is unforgivable. They need all the shit thatss coming their way and some.

Still not worth panicking over but how is this happening?

It's very much this for me. I don't really care what Alex Neil thinks of Sunderland as a football club, our history or our fans but what's gone on behind the scenes to make him think Stoke are a better prospect for him than Sunderland?

If he does go I hope the reason it is just about money or some personal reasons. His comments about Broadhead the other week when he signed for Wigan and now this... not sure about any of it.
