There is man. He signs a new contract and all is forgiven straight away, until his first run of bad results anyways and people shoot him with this shit. All hypothetical of course.
That’s why it’s lose lose imo. If he stays, then great. One bad defeat and people are gonna blame today on his poor performances.

I think if you are doing well and your stock is rising you can afford to wait for a decent job to come round. The Stoke job is clearly not better than Sunderland - they get average crowds, are hardly on the up and can't spend money. If Neil was unhappy then he would be looking at better offers than that. Stoke fans don't seem to want him and he has used such tactics before to up his deal. For me, if I was guiding his career I would not be looking at Stoke as the next step.
..that is the baffling part of all of this. STOKE CITY🙈

Sometimes poster off here. 100% gets info. Like has been posted humdreds if times, things do/can change last minute. I'm big enough tho to take the flack, not bothered. Not interested in making things up.
OK well I don't believe whoever told you that he's threatened to walk twice this summer. I am surprised you do. Look at his track record he is not one to throw his dummy out as you suggest.

I might be being dramatic but no way back for him now imo.

You're being dramatic.

What if he turns up at 2pm and announces that he has signed a new contract? That there was an approach from Stoke, he owed it to himself and family to listen to it, but he has signed (for arguments sake) a three year contract?

There would be 'no way back' for a manager who has transformed the club in a few months?

Martin

Agree with it all. Only issue i see is if theres family issues.

It shouldnt even be on the radar this, he's a fool if he goes for footballing reasons.

If he does it will be because they've offered him an all round better package. More money, longer contract, more control , closer to family, more time off, all that jazz
