They’d be gutted if he left. We’d be in serious bother.
 
I think if you are doing well and your stock is rising you can afford to wait for a decent job to come round. The Stoke job is clearly not better than Sunderland - they get average crowds, are hardly on the up and can't spend money. If Neil was unhappy then he would be looking at better offers than that. Stoke fans don't seem to want him and he has used such tactics before to up his deal. For me, if I was guiding his career I would not be looking at Stoke as the next step.

In these situations it'll all have been sorted already. The club know he's going and now it's just a matter of going the "official" route.

I would expect him to go to be honest. He seemed a bit sick of the transfer carry on. Our owners seem to want to do everything on the cheap.
 
No way he will be doing the 2pm conference if this is true. It will be cancelled followed by an official statement
