Tbh I’m pissed off he’s even bothered to open talks with Stoke. If true of course.

As Hunter insinuated in May and repeated the other day, the club had to do as much as possible to retain his services if they wanted to keep him long term. Sort out the contract and make concessions on certain recruitment decisions.

Obviously this is speculation on my part, but I suspect the signing of the Costa Rican boy is more of a club decision than an Alex Neil decision and it hasn’t gone down well given what we need in the market. Perhaps the pursuit of the French boy is similar too.

If there are differences of opinion on recruitment and there’s a potential offer elsewhere with better terms and more control then it’s inevitable Neil will at least consider it. Especially if it’s a club geographically closer to his wife and family.

Oh well, back to a mess on the pitch again as well as off it

Hate managers that show no loyalty. Worse than players in my book. Should stay where he is a good fit. Look at others that did it such as Gregory, Mcghee, Lampard, Rooney etc
If he goes he will go on to be a journeyman like Bruce.
