Amad today.

Makes my skin crawl the way our fans go on about ex players. Proper psycho ex girlfriend vibes.
Aye the ones who have been superb for us. Nowt wrong with that.
Reinildo is the best one-on-one defender we've had in my lifetime and the best left back since Micky Gray. Arguably better if you value the defensive side higher.
Mucky put a hell of a cross in mind. But you're right, Reinildo is the best LB ive seen us have in my lifetime too.

I think if Amad would be willing to come back it would worth exploring. He's a hard worker which RLB likes to see in his wingers, loves the club and would immediately improve our right hand side which i'd say is a key position this summer.

Does anyone know if he counts as home grown? Signed for Man Utd quite young iirc? Would be a nice bonus

Yeah he counts towards the PL homegrown quota

Not “wanting anything to do with us”. Every bloody interview he mentions us man. What do you want the lad to do? Go crackers for the Sunderland fans? He’d be panned by united fans. Imagine it was one of our players, this place would implode

People on here have short memories, the lad literally said in a MUFC official interview that his favourite stadium to play at was the Stadium of Light.

What do people expect him to do? Go around and individually compliment every single fan?

I don't think it's just nostalgia to think that he'd be a good signing, he'd arguably be a better fit for our current squad than he was when he played for us.

He's not a world beater though. If we could get him for around £30-35m then he'd be a great signing, but I'd imagine United would want considerably more than that.

Absolutely no chance he'd go for that much. Also he isn't coming to Sunderland

That's my point - United would expect a profit on the £40m they paid for him, but I don't think he's worth it. He'd be great in our current team but we'd probably have to spend half of the summer's budget on him.

I'm nursing a bad back at the moment, but I would still put him on it and carry him here myself - he's be an amazing addition. Can't see it happening though...

I’d sign him but ‘only’ for like £25m tops. He was brilliant for us but he’s not worth more than that. Do also feel like people just need to move on, was fun while it lasted but it’s a different club and he’s a different player to 22/23. There’s others we will look at.

Think he is valuable to Man Utd as fits the homegrown criteria. Agree with your assessment. Good player. No world beater. Works hard though, so would have many suitors.

Whilst I would argue he is no superstar, you aren’t getting him for £25m 😂😂

Might be an interesting card to play if United are in for any of our players.

I think Sadiki is exactly the type of player they're missing, an Amad + cash deal could suit both parties.

Exactly so I’d look elsewhere

I’d rather have Sadiki. He’s class.
