Amad Diallo

He was coming deep looking for the ball or floating out wide.

That would have been fine if he was playing the number 10 role but we needed some one to get in the box.

As others have said I thought some of his movement was good, a few nice touches and he clearly has bags of pace.

Ill be honest one of my highlights of tonight was explaining to my 10yr old son what people were singing;
"Dad, why are people singing armadillo?"

He's got the lot if he really wants it. His touch and he seems to glide with the ball at his feet. But, you can tell he is low on confidwnce when presented with the chance to shoot. He is the only player who can play up there and link the players around him. We lost it when he was taken off far too early...don't get me started on Dajaku🙈

Mowbray subs were a bit erratic like. Clarke should never be shifted from the left.

Agree mate. I've posted this about 4 times now....Clarke comes to life in his role last 20 mins when the full back is knackered. Look back at Reading, Rotherham games etc. May aswel take him off playing him cemtral like Mowbray did Saturday and tonight for a while. Keep him on the left.
He’s clearly a talented footballer and has plenty to offer us.

He’s just never a centre forward in a million years.
Not on his own.

We’ve got 4 young players who’ve been transferred for £10m or over.

That’s unbelievable at this level.

We’re doing so so. Anyone who has ambitions of going up is dreaming, avoiding a relegation battle is all we can hope for.

He didn’t play ‘up there’ he dropped in deep, which invited them to step up and he tried playing in an even more congested area.

Their centre backs knew they weren’t going to be turned round with him on the pitch and when he did drop in he lost it in a couple of really dangerous areas and was easily brushed off the ball.

I have sympathy because he’s obviously a winger but he was shocking at times tonight.

I must have watched a different game. I thought his movement allowed us space for Clarke and Embleton to nearly score and he was a threat to them til they decided to target him second half.
He should have gone with his right instead of cutting back but overall, I was impressed.

Nobody who played up front tonight looked to run in behind apart from Dajaku. Diallo etc are all probably better players than him but he will stretch teams and run in behind. I'd give him a start up front.

Was he shite shocking. And he was our main focal point in the first half.

I thought he was poor in the role he was chosen to play. He was coming far too deep and going out wide too. We needed a player to play the majority of the game upfront, he didn't do that. He made the wrong decision a couple of times when well placed to shoot too.

I'd start Bennette ahead of him. He wants it more and creates more too.

Got to keep Diallo in the team.
