Possibly our best target man since Quinny ffs. Do people actually not notice how much he holds up the ball and wins in the air for us? It's nice to have a route-one not come straight back for a change.

People will be wanting Kevin Kyle back again soon. Clueless.
This is a wind-up right?

I'm sure we had a bloke on loan went by the name of Niklas Bendtner. Played up front in a lone roll and also led the line well as a target man. Led the mags a merry dance iirc.

Complete and utter shite. Cant win in the air, no pace, gets muscled off the ball too easily. Fletch aside our striking options are fucked.

Pele at his very best wouldn't score for us at the moment.

I can't recall him getting a pass to his feet all game.

It's all a bit different when he plays international football and he gets the ball in front of him and along the ground as opposed to being lumped up from the back Sunday morning style.

Fair enough.

Just out of curiosity can this excuse be applied to Wickham or Ji? Surely its not there faults either that they arent prolific?
Ji has had good chances including THAT header against Palace, whereas Wickham scores against League 1 sides but strolls around doing fuck all in the Premier League. Scored that goal against Villa and I remember him playing well against Bolton the week before where he hit the bar, but he's been shocking apart from that.

aye ok mate, I dont, does that mean because of my job im not allowed a opinion?
not after a aurgument or anything it was my opinion thats all
I didn't say it did.

Your pro Newcastle anti sunderland stance makes me question whatever you say tbh. Not convinced you do actually support us. Either that or you're bitter you aren't a mag

Can argue that about Altidore as well to be honest.

Im no fan of Ji like btw.

Balls won in the air today: 4/10
Passing Accuracy: 65%

Balls won in the air last week: 8/16
Passing Accuracy: 61%

Aerial duels won in first 5 games of the season: 29%
Passing accuracy: 66%

He doesn't win a lot in the air and when he does, he quite often can't bring one of our players into the game.

My view is that he is being played completely incorrectly. He is battered every game with shite unimagative punts up to him.

He needs the kind of service where Gardner fucked up when it was 3 vs 1 and Jones got back in. If he had crossed it of course

Facing goal he will score goals.

But with 2 centre backs just pummeling the back of his head for 90mins will not get best out of him.

I can quite imagine that like a few of them, he's completely gutted he came here

not a mag mate, just f***ing fed up to the back teeth the wat safc is going tbh

I'm bit concerned with him like, for the sheer size of the lad he is a big tart on the field. He should be bullying centre halves like Hughes & Drogba did so well. Need Fletcher back asap

Can't say I've noticed it before but he was embarrassing in that regard today. It was like watching Heskey in years gone by in terms of a gust of wind being able to knock him off his feet.
