Allardyce and his obsession with...

It's not wilful misrepresentation at all. You keep talking about how Ashley only looks to buy players with a sell on value! How on earth does he know? He's a businessman not a scout! Also if this is his grand plan to buy cheap and sell big ASAP then how many times has this happened to back up your theory? I only really remember it happening with Cabaye and once PSG come knocking at club like Newcastles door then he's on his way. That's nowt to do with Ashley being chairman it's just part and parcel of football.
There's a saying that goes there's lies, damned lies and then there's statistics. That sums up that little list you've complied regarding Pardew there. Everyone of them come from 2014 and totally ignore everything else. There's no balance of objectivity whatsoever. Under Pardew you finished 12th, 5th, 16th then 10th at time of leaving. You slate Ashley for not spending enough, buying wrong players and having this sell as soon as there's a profit to be made attitude. You then slate Pardew for what he achieved as he should have done better. If Pardew should've done better then I can only assume the recruitment was fine and it was managers fault. It can't be both as otherwise it's a total contradiction surely?

I keep saying that he was part of the group that decided on a policy of recruiting players with a sell on value. Winston Churchill was part of a group that decided upon the strategy for the invasion of Normandy, doesn't mean he's storming the beach himself does it?

There is that saying, there is also the saying "cognitive dissonance" jfgi

I'm slating Ashley for ripping the soul from my club, turning us into relegation candidates more often than not, removing the will to achieve from the club. I'm slating Pardew for being a poor manager, a charlatan and an awful shit. These are not mutually exclusive. It is possible for the owner to be shit and the manager to be shit. It's possible for Ashley's recruitment team to sign the wrongs players at the same time as the manager failing to get a tune out of the players he's got.

So where is the evidence to suggest that this "buy cheap sell big" is the policy of this 'group'? Cabaye seems to be the only example and let's face it PSG came knocking so he was always going to leave as a club like Newcastle can't compete with them.
You claimed earlier that Pardew should've done better with players he had. Let's take it one season at a time.
12th. Now given your sheer condemnation of Pardew you must surely have thought around 8th was achievable that season? If you thought 10th,11th it wouldn't be worth throwing toys out of pram over 1 or 2 places.
5th. Perhaps you thought top 4 was a realistic aim in your second season back in top flight given your dissappointment in Pardiolas performance. Bit harsh but there ya go.
16th. A very dissappointing season given the previous campaign however a 1/4 final of UEFA cup was a decent journey for a side only 3 seasons back into a top flight return. I understand your gripe on this one to be fair.
10th (when left) 16th at seasons end. 10th place and a nice comfortable bit of stability after the previous seasons dissappointments, a step in right direction I'd have thought but you must have harboured top 8 hopes given how poor the silver fox did with the players at his disposal.

So to sum up Ashley must've given you in 4 seasons back in top flight players good enough to finish top 8, top 4, mid table and top 8 again. What more were you expecting?

Now if Ashley's recruitment was shite then id say the positions achieved under pardew where very respectable.
