I know that feeling. We have been through it every time. We keep on expecting a strong manager with a great track record like Neil Warnock or Nigel Clough but ended up with the likes of Phil Parkinson, Simon Grayson and Chris Coleman. Big Sam was the only ambitions appointment we have had in my time as a SC holder. The only proven top name.

Rodgers, Conte, Lowe and Emery turned them down apparently. Howe was 5th on the list, Martinez 6th

MON? Advocaat? Youd possibly put Moyes in there too mind.. most were buzzing with him.

Agreed. I'd add Moyes to the list though as awful as he was for us he done a good job at Everton and his previous club was man utd before us . Complete disaster when he came here though of course.
 
The Saudi owners of this football club are coming across as a real bunch of amateurs. They cant even appoint a manager without the appointment being dragged through the media. Embarrassing really. A tough job for who ever they appoint .
