The mags hope to appoint Emery this week.

Emery said yesterday (in his pre-champions league game press conference) that he was unaware of the link to the mags.

Doesn’t sound imminent to me.
Something clearly changed overnight. Maybe mandy has been flapping her gums to the press.

I didn’t appreciate how bad Villarreal had Been this season, and there was talk of him being sacked. Really not sure he’s the right fit for them at all.

Bit of a weird appointment IMO, can't see him doing much with the current squad and I doubt they'll be able to attract many decent players in January with them near the bottom of the league. I expected them to go out and get Conte or someone as a signal of intent, all been a big low key so far after the mass wankathon when the takeover went through.

I saw on twitter (I know) realistic signings are Tark (Burnley), JWP (Soton), Belotti (Torino) and Jese L (Man Utd)....and those are the realistic ones. I dread to think who the unrealistic ones are.

End of article states this whis shows he wants to play with better players as that will no doubt allow him more freedom to show his skills. It will be a few years before the Mags get top 10 so how long will he stay? If they are in the shit come January then he may well get his head turned and if they somehow get relegated then he'll be away.

The former France Under 21 international, however, admitted he hasn't had the 'chance to play with 10 top players' in his career yet, hinting he has ambitions to do that in the future, whether that is at the Magpies remains to be seen.

"I really give it my all, it’s complicated, but people who really know football know full well that what I do at Newcastle is, I don’t do things easy," he added. "In any case, I haven't had the chance to play in a team with 10 top players, players who are all in international selection. Of course, the day I get this chance I know full well that in terms of stats and performance, everything will change."
I bet that’ll go down well in the dressing room.

Emery would be some appointment for them if they get him like. Sky saying he's got 3 years left on his Villarreal contract though so it's not a given though.

I'm still hoping they get the waiter back for a 2nd spell so he can take them down again. Looks like Everton are sick of his negative football already.

I’d prefer them to appoint Emery and the waiter gets sacked the following day. They wouldn’t know which one to shout for.
