...fans who have an indirect connection brought about by circumstances over which they have no control...
 You can spout these lies as much as you want. No one is going to fall for it.
Thank fuck we don't live in a country that has gone to war that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians.
Which football club does the **** who did that own?

I know who he supports.

So basically it's ok for individual to benefit.

Add them to the UK government, BAE, the Royal Family, any other business the PIF have invested in, the PL for selling them games etc etc.

A long list of organisations and individuals who have conveniently looked the other way as it benefitted them directly.
its only seems to be you mags who dont seem to see the difference between them owning a football club, something at the heart of a community, something people go to support and cannot change, with someone else renting a disney dvd.

Not a clue. Either they're just hopelessly disorganised, or the paperwork is in someone's in tray on Riyadh for approval. This kind of delay is unprecedented in my epxerience.
is there not a different company or something which now owns them, so the original company doesnt have to change?

I’ve stayed away from this deliberately for a while but my view at the moment.

What has stunned me is the lack of critical thinking and the bunker mentality taken by some fans around the Human rights issue. Constant deflection or just abuse and no attempt at debate. There’s no acceptance the club has gone from being a vehicle to sell tracksuits to a vehicle to sell the Saudi regime. I know Twitter and Facebook aren’t a representation but I’ve been totally taken aback. I know every club has its set of kanckers and we’re no different, some fairly respectable fans have become kanckers as well.

I don’t think the media pile on Saint Steve Bruce helped with the siege mentality but get over it lads. Do I think some journalists are hypocritical and piling on, a little bit yes but are they wrong about what they’re writing about. No.

I am all for the owners investing in the area a la City and Etihad Campus area but as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of critical thinking and being able to openly challenge our owners. From Lord Westwood to McKeag and the others we’ve had, the same microscope should be put on our owners.

At the moment, it’s fluffy PR pieces and they’ve cleaned some windows. Stewart Donald did as much an equivalent.

I don’t think I’ll jack my season ticket it yet but if parts of the fanbase remains as toxic and unwilling to challenge, I can’t see how I can be part of that.

It's not impossible, but a quick review of Staveley's appointments suggests no companies with Saudi or Reuben involvement.

And, in any event, there should be a filing in Newcastle of a change in what are known as persons with significant control. That has also not happened.

So what's the consensus on mackems who are/have worked in Saudi and the other parts of the world where human rights don't come top of the list. There are loads of expats out there right now getting the financial benefits by working for the Saudis. Surely these people deserve more criticism for actively taking part rather than fans who have an indirect connection brought about by circumstances over which they have no control.
Bullshit. 110,000 morally bankrupt bellends signed a petition sucking dry Mohammed bin Salman and ranting about not being taken over by despots. If 110,000 signed a petition telling them to fuck off they probably wouldn’t have gone through with it. Your shithouse fans are willing sportswashing minions, complicit vacuous wankers happy to climb into bed with the devil himself for blood soaked trinkets. You disgust me.
