I think one of the journos summed it up. The problem with all this is the defending of the actions of the Saudis. The mags jump on the chance of whatabouterry or to actually insult anyone who dares to suggest the CIA report is evidence their owner was involved in the murder of Khashoggi.
Instead of saying ‘you know what it is wrong but we can’t do anything about it’ or the likes, they actually defend a regime that would be sickened by their antics on a Saturday night in Newcastle (and would kill a lot of people who would be out).

Sadly I think you are right.

It would seem that they are willing to accept anything to assume their 'rightful' place at the top of the football league...... well they do deserve it more than any other set of supporters though
Some mags are true believers...and fully support the new regime warts and all... they merely don't care what KSA are capable of. Most mags are just ambivalent.... happy that fat Mike's gone but neutral about the current owners authoritarian government and whatever they've done in Yemen or world wide.

As quite a few have pointed out, some of the NUFC fans have been perfect 'useful idiots'.
Joining in with the KSA bots in attacking the critics of the KSA is EXACTLY what they'd want. They must be chuffed to bits at some of the responses.

A significant amount appear to have become aware of this and when they call out the bots out its really interesting to see the KSA bots act with NUFC fans as though they would in a politics discussion (call them 'makem' and block them). I don't think they truly understand the tribal nature / culture of football fans.

The more that become aware the better, but you'll always end up with morality free clowns saying "I don't care if you're a murderer, you supported us so we'll support you".

And why not? - after all they "got their club back".

If wraith hasn't been bought and paid for to playing the pr role he's doing....I'd be amazed
Bought and paid for or just a daft **** allowing himself to be manipulated.. not sure but either way he’s an absolute embarrassment.. can’t believe Turtle Spurt were licking his hoop last night.. actually, yeah I can.. the BBC and local media fall into the same category!!

It’s the only reason I can think of for the crew he’s assembled (not a brain between them) and the way he’s kept quacking on in the face of a CIA report and a growing mob of NUFC supporters

I read in the Chron that his greatest wish in life is to be a baddie on Coronation Street, perhaps he sees this as an audition 😄

This lawyer sounds thick as fuck, she literally said Kate Stewart was a bot in the tweet she replied to saying she didn’t

Has this "Kate Stewart" account acknowledged that they've met Steve Wraith in London?

That "lawyer" is REALLY interesting.

If you check her timeline she was all over "KateStewert22" calling her out as a bot and criticising her for attacking Khashoggi's widow.

Then at the weekend she just flipped to the opposite and gave her unconditional support - and won't answer any questions as to why she's flipped.

Had wondered how he had managed to put himself front and centre of the takeover, and just assumed that he was full of shit, and living off the photo of him sat next to Staveley.

But he’s got a long history of promoting utter nonsense on behalf of criminals to the people of the north east. I can understand how someone involved in the Saudis PR could see some value in keeping him involved. Absolutely no doubt that he’d be willing to play the part for them as well.

Restricting clubs from competing is what is happening now, can’t you see that?
Having a salary cap should open up the competition a bit more.
Of course I can. the horse has bolted and instead of trying to fix it they’ve pulled the ladder up and the few clubs that are already there will never be challenged.

If there was a choice I’d pick the salary caps and limited transfer fees. However that’s never ever gonna happen. So I want to see the shackles off and allow teams to spend to compete
Would you open a burger place to hide the fact that you hate chickens and are burying them alive on your farm 100kms away
Another one that doesn’t understand the post. It’s got nothing to do with the Saudi regime. It’s about limiting clubs from spending, it eliminates competition because others have been allowed to spend anything they want, and they’ve now pulled the ladder up

Salary caps in the Premiership will only hold the league back with PSG, Barca, Madrid, the Milans et al just over the sea.
