Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

I’m expressing my opinion that he isnt fit for purpose.

In 2 of his 3 games this season, even whilst he’s fresh and relatively an unknown quantity, a lot of his play hasn’t been what we’ll need across the season. His hold up, first touch, awareness and decision making hasn’t been at good second tier centre forward level. His work rate has been really good and he took his chances well against Wednesday, no doubting that. And that may give cause for optimism for the future but there’s just no way he should be our first choice striker this season.

I agree. Not just that but I think it'll also harm Mayenda to expect him to be.

It makes no sense at all that the two clubs haven’t been able to reach an agreement here. None at all

Not really, we had an agreement with skint owners. New owners came in and thought our offer was very shit and wanted way more than we think he's worth or are willing to pay. It's not really hard to make sense of it.

That doesnt tie in with what I heard

I CAN make sense of it. I'm just irritated that once again our valuation of strikers is below market value.

I definitely think there's cause for optimism with Mayenda, I said the same from the glimpses we saw last season.

If we were to go into the rest of the year with him as our first choice striker then that would be criminal for the reasons you have said. That won't be the case though even now will be it? That surely will be Isidor?

What if isidor is cack or gets a bad injury?
