Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

With Alexandre Mendy's departure imminent, SM Caen could bring back Mbaye Niang, the striker who started out in the Malherbe jersey. Negotiations are underway between the two camps.

"Imminent"...
Is that a kld version of imminent though? Could be next window if so 😂

We’ve won every header on set pieces

It's like early last season when our defensive record was up there and people kept telling me our defence was good because of said record, until it wasn't....

I'll continue to watch with my eyes though and i can see we both lack aerial dominance in set pieces and we've had a few mad scrambles trying to clear balls so far over two league games. It will eventually cost us. The manager doesn't seem daft and Ballard, when available, will be in soon enough.

It's happening.

I think we've solid in both games, however both sides have had their chances. Willock or Ramsey (I can't remember which) had a golden opportunity against us, the ball in was a fast one though and seemed to hit off their thigh or hip and slowed the pace of the ball into the hands of a relieved Patterson. That could easily have gone in.

Sheff Wed had a great chance early on yesterday and should have scored near the end, granted we'd probably taken our foot off the pedal then. Still, these things change games as we know and sometimes it's fine lines between winning and losing.

That all said, I think we've looked very good, organised and professional in both games so far.

Not sure that happened like, we only kept about 2 clean sheets in 8 or 9 games last season early on. We were also wide open and had players running through unchallenged which plenty of us pointed out.

This season is different and we haven't really conceded many chances, never mind goals.

We are now the only team in the league to not spend a penny. Haway get a decent bid in for this lad and actually show some ambition.

I’m properly against this “show some ambition” line that gets trotted out regularly now. If we sign Browne for £3m-£4m, is it showing more ambition than getting him for free?

There’s nothing about being prudent that’s exciting for your average football supporter, but it is exciting watching the three central midfielders on Sunday, that cost about £2m in fees between them. The two wingers who struggling to get first team matches. A right back that has played at a very low level & a left back that just wanted to play football. All of this was done in a tight financial structure & all of a sudden, the majority of our good players are signing new contracts.

Hull, Leeds, Birmingham & Coventry all spent a lot of money last season. It was said numerous times on here that they were “showing ambition”.

Canny post that like.
KLD wont spunk money on Mendy he will pay what he is worth,if indeed we go back for him.In my opinion only.

£10m for Mark McGuinness is genuinely insane though.
I know, but it’s showing ambition isn’t it. Big gestures are very important to some people.

I honestly do think we’ll spend money on the right person. But it appears our criteria for buying players is quite strict.
