Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

M
So ... still no further foward ...hes still training alone ... has he played in any preseason games?

We're offering 800k and Caen want €5m
Hes 30 and never played outside of France?

Best case scenario...if we signed him today he might not be ready and upto speed for at least 2-6 weeks... maybe longer
We could sign him this morning, fly him over in time to start the game today and he’d be better than what we have. That’s how bad it is,

If that's the case they should have just signed a journeyman like Jamal Lowe on a free. They're saying 'it's a difficult market' but it's only as difficult you make it. Just get the best player in you can for the budget you have. It's like every window we walk into waitrose expecting to pay aldi prices turn our noses up & go home & tell the kids there's nowt for tea as it was a 'difficult supermarket' despite the fact there was an aldi on the way home & we could have just got something from there.

lovely analogy.

Maybe if we upped our offer to a family bag of Quavers
Would only be a single packet. Do you know how much multipacks cost!

It's clearly a wages issue. We don't want to pay any!

With Alexandre Mendy's departure imminent, SM Caen could bring back Mbaye Niang, the striker who started out in the Malherbe jersey. Negotiations are underway between the two camps.

"Imminent"...

Is KLD taking up football journalism now?

They've not signed a competent one since Stewart who is looking more and more like a fluke signing. An anomaly.
Our recruitment when we were in league one was excellent. Most of our better players now were with us when we came up and have made the step up to this level.

It has been a lot sketchier since we came up, with more misses than successes.
