You don't know weve narrowed it down to 1 though, we won't only be looking at Mendy.

And in response to your analogy, there is another option...you negotiate the price down until you both come to a price you and the seller agree on, which is exactly what we are doing, seemingly.

We're talking about a footballer who the club has a idea what they want to pay, the offer is there. They have decided to wait and see what develops, you or nobody will tell them what to do and no one but kld will pay what he wants. That was my post on here about people wanting the club to just pay, it's not yours or theirs money so it'll be ok. You won't pay over the odds for anything so why should the club. People have got short memories and are forgetting how DS had tge piss taken out of him with grigg

I mean it’s pretty clear to most people that there’s hardly any backup plan if any, hence why they have re-entered negotiations at this stage. Could have had it done weeks ago man.

My pointless analogy was a response to another pointless analogy, wasn’t being serious.

As I’ve said in several posts before, I’m of the opinion that both clubs will compromise on what the want to spend/pay and a deal will be done.

When we sold Stewart we already knew that Ellis simms had just gone for 6m. We should have been keeping all the Stewart money that was earmarked for transfers and putting it aside for a centre forward. If we had change, great, otherwise earmarked completely

borrow an old pair from one of the lads at work, clean them out and polish them up.

Then crack on.

Not that this helps us sign mendy!
