For everyone saying they wouldn’t pay £4m or so for our close first choice all summer. We sold Stewart for that and he hadn’t played for 9 months and had less than 20 games under his belt at this level

Posters just saying pay it or how much did we get for Stewart, if the club don't think he's worth what they're asking for a 30 year old then they're right not to pay it. Would you pay 10 grand for a car that's worth 5. Or is it alright if someone else is paying the money

If you’ve narrowed your car search down to 1 specific car and only that car and all other similar cars have since been sold, or you don’t want them and you’ve only done research into 1 car and it’s the only option, then you either pay the 10 grand or you get the bus.

We’ve wanted him for 2 months then. Bit daft if they only value him at a million or so then innit?
We paid £2.5m or so for Rusyn so, if they don’t see him as worth anywhere near that price then they’ve wasted their time, completely

So you would pay double the price for a car, no one in they right mind would. Glad posters on here aren't the clubs accountants

How do you know they have wasted their time, the offer could still be there and they could be looking elsewhere, I suppose you're one of these clowns that want the club to just pay the money. It's ok when it's not your money though.

To use another pointless analogy which has nothing to do with football

You need absolutely need a new pair of steel toe cap boots before you start work on the 1st of September, you don’t have any and if you don’t get a pair you won’t be able to start the job - you’ve got your eyes on a pair but don’t think they’re worth £100, so you wait a couple of months for them to go into the sale because you want to pay £50, meanwhile all other suitable options have sold out and it’s too late to start doing any more research now, it’s the middle of August and they still haven’t gone into the sale, you have 3 options.

1) pay the £100 because you have no other real alternatives in mind
2) panic and buy something cheaper which you know not as much about and you don’t think will be as fit for purpose
3) buy nowt and can’t start work
