To be fair we have enough wing options till January. We could use a late Prem loan as well if need be. The slow Prem business means loans won’t happen till deadline day anyway.

Gut feeling Clarke is happy and is staying.

Agreed but even if we sign 1 or 2 this week Mayenda will start next weekend.

That’s surely not how it works though. If they knew Stewart was likely to go (which they obviously planned for) they would have factored that in to the budget.

If I know I have a paycheck coming I know I’m safe to spend money in the meantime because it will be replenished.

We can’t factor that in for sure though. He was still injured, it was last minute, and it was widely reported as not happening near the end. They would have had a summer budget going into the summer. I’m sure some of it would have been done on the plan of selling him but a large amount of those signings would’ve been out of a budget we had in addition to what we may or may not get from selling Stewart.
We wouldn’t have gone into the summer with the only money for signings is from if we sell him.
