So why are we the only club in for him if £4m guarantees these priceless goals? How much do you think goals cost? Laughable man

Other clubs were in for him, he has publicly spoken about how he wants to come here rather than any of them.So why are we the only club in for him if £4m guarantees these priceless goals?
Of course they canaye ok![]()
Again did you see what we spent the Stewart money on![]()
Have a look at the last 2 transfer windowsI haven't. I'm quite irritated by that as I'd have expected to by now.

Bellingham, Hjelde, Triantis, Hemir, Mayenda, Rusyn, Mundle, Seelt, Aouchiche, Pembele all signed from last summers transfer window, how much change out of 8 million including wagesAye. Née fucker has been signed for even a large fraction of what w sold Stewart for or a significant percentage more than we signed previously anyway.
It’s clear Mayenda starts V Cardiff.Mayenda. Fitted in quite well today. Maybe didnt stretch their defence as rusyn done when he came on but he played the high press really well and was a major factor in us winning the ball high up the pitch and getting some good opportunities. I think he might be a dark horse for the main striker role and grow into it very quickly even if we sign someone else. He fits into this team
He's still a season away from being a starter for me .It’s clear Mayenda starts V Cardiff.
To be fair we have enough wing options till January. We could use a late Prem loan as well if need be. The slow Prem business means loans won’t happen till deadline day anyway. My fear with Clarke is, nothing is close with him atm because we are standing firm with our valuation.
So my fear is someone will panic buy him at the eleventh hour leaving us no time to replace him.
Agreed but even if we sign 1 or 2 this week Mayenda will start next weekend. He's still a season away from being a starter for me .
He's miles off mate, if the target is a striker to lead the line, be a nuisance around the box, hold up the ball and take chances in and around the box then unfortunately he is nowhere near ready for the championshipHe's still a season away from being a starter for me .
Most of those were signed before we sold Stewart, presumably from our summer budget - should’ve been plenty left over in Jan (was it just Hjelde and Mundle?) to get someone capable inBellingham, Hjelde, Triantis, Hemir, Mayenda, Rusyn, Mundle, Seelt, Aouchiche, Pembele all signed from last summers transfer window, how much change out of 8 million including wages![]()
That’s surely not how it works though. If they knew Stewart was likely to go (which they obviously planned for) they would have factored that in to the budget. Most of those were signed before we sold Stewart, presumably from our summer budget - should’ve been plenty left over in Jan (was it just Hjelde and Mundle?) to get someone capable in
We can’t factor that in for sure though. He was still injured, it was last minute, and it was widely reported as not happening near the end. They would have had a summer budget going into the summer. I’m sure some of it would have been done on the plan of selling him but a large amount of those signings would’ve been out of a budget we had in addition to what we may or may not get from selling Stewart. That’s surely not how it works though. If they knew Stewart was likely to go (which they obviously planned for) they would have factored that in to the budget.
If I know I have a paycheck coming I know I’m safe to spend money in the meantime because it will be replenished.
It was still the Stewart money they knew he was going ffsMost of those were signed before we sold Stewart, presumably from our summer budget - should’ve been plenty left over in Jan (was it just Hjelde and Mundle?) to get someone capable in
We would’ve had some budget - his sale wasn’t a guarantee. They don’t all equate to Stewart’s fee.It was still the Stewart money they knew he was going ffs
Jesus wept, they had 18 months to tie him down to a contract, he was always leaving ffsWe would’ve had some budget - his sale wasn’t a guarantee. They don’t all equate to Stewart’s fee.
Our entire budget going into the summer that we then spent was based on a potential sale? Pleased you’re not my accountant.Jesus wept, they had 18 months to tie him down to a contract, he was always leaving ffs
I think a firm ‘maybe’ either way is the consensus of opinion as things stand. What's the latest. Is he coming or is he staying at Caen.
