Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Couldn’t point me in the direction of that post could you fella. Had a look but couldn’t find it?

I have found a post from early as yesterday that refutes your allegation. I await you apology in due course.

I’m sure if you put a little effort in you can find it instead of making stuff up.
Loads of anger about. Couldn't have seen this coming when people were posting on here they'd happily spend a few years building in the Championship, approximately 30 months ago.
Genuine question; Do you think it’s acceptable that the biggest club outside the premier league should be happy finishing mid table and not having a go for promotion?

Which is why it is more frustrating that Donald took that parachute money and i don't believe he ever paid that back? or did i miss that?
The first years parachute payments went towards the clubs massive black hole of money owed I think, along with the money from selling Pickford. Then Donald (Madrox really) came in and used the next year's parachute payments (~£25m IIRC) to pay Short to buy the club, then wrote off his debt to the club. Think Madrox would argue the money they used to run the club was them paying it back, but then when they sold they surely made some decent money. Very dodgy.

No. And I don't think they (ultimately KLD + Sartori) are happy with that. They are just going about it in a way that is more long term and sustainable.

Buy players before they're at full potential, develop them.

I also don't think club size matters almost at all in 2024, we lose £9m a year instead of £12m if we had a smaller crowd. It's all about parachute payments and selling players.

Ipswich played us last season up here and had 4 CF in their match day squad. We have more goalkeepers than capable CFs. Unfortunately the bloke in charge doesn’t think we need CFs. It’s a gapping hole in our squad and until it’s sorted properly then we will be looking over our shoulders not ahead. Sorted properly - not some 19 year old kid who might be good in 3 or 4 years time.

Nearly 4m on Hjelde and Mundle
We do spend just not on what we need. Add the rumoured 2 million to Rusyn on top of that. Recruitment is appalling and has been for at least 3 windows now.

Fair enough.

As a general point I do think the owners have invested (of course we would like to see more) but in recent transfer windows the investment has been wasted by Speakman. However, given the desperate state of the CF position they simply have to find some monies from somewhere otherwise previous investment will be lost. As I have said we are spoiling the ship for a hapath of tar.

A competent striker or 2 into the squad would make a massive difference as the squad with decent management is not too far away from challenging for promotion imho. When we get to the premier league the owners will get that investment back, particularly if they want to sell.

Just because we are the biggest club outside the premier league I don’t expect promotion but I at least expect us to have a go and I think on that we can all agree.
* has never praised the club

** belittles mental health

I have praised the club on the Rigg and Ballard contracts so that is a blatant lie.

I would never belittle mental health as I have significant experience on the matter so another blatant lie.

It was well reported at the time that we'd paid 2m for Hjelde and around 2.5 for Mundle. There was also the loan for that lad who could play LB and CM and looked well below average at both.
Do the transfer values come out in the accounts? If they do i will be amazed if we paid them fees tbh.

I think they'll probably rise to those fees as I don't think we've ever paid a full fee upfront with a sell on fee or other clauses attached.

What those January transfers did show is that those signing were prioritised over a striker for the first 11 when the 3 players signed spent more time on the bench.

I mostly agree, but I think the club are genuinely trying to sort the CF problem we have, and have had for a couple of seasons.

Being the biggest ROAS on here probably.

Maric done
Still done
SOL remortgaged
Speakman definitely away to lens

And then windmilling anyone who challenged it. Then the weird cabal who hung on every word and still believe.

Maybe that.
I never once said Speakman was away to Lens... ffs, you can't even get that correct. Useless...if you have the capability to read, i said, Lyon were interested in Speakman and have been since the end of the season.
