Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

So while the match is being played ,part of the roof falls down and injures spectators, some fatally. That's ok. because the money in the bank account didn't get spent on the upkeep of the stadium ,just dormant until the right player became available. Then to compound it the prices quoted for upkeep of the job originally ,went up 50% a year later. The money goes from ticket sales and Sky/EFL into the running of the club , then some of the money goes towards other expenditures like player recruitment .

So... none of that is relevant either.

its my option, at 30yrs old the best part of his playing career is behind him..
The thing that comes over loud and clear in all of these three signings and potential signings is that the Club other than wages are not prepared to pay any decent money if they truely want a promotion push. Just say they do manage to achieve promotion, what then? The money they would have to spend will be astronomical in the main just to tread water.. Nah, they are bullshitting without spending money.

They've spent money money though. They spent 4m in Jan.

We need a striker it's clear to everyone but making up lies that they aren't spending money doesn't help your argument

We get promoted and we get handed an extra £110m that season, and then another £100m in parachute payments. That is why teams coming down have such a big advantage and why it doesn't matter that we used to piss the Championship before parachute payments.

Tbh mate, if he was 24 and been scoring over 20 odd goals each season, we'd have no f#cking chance of being able to afford him. It's looking like we can barely afford him now at 30 (which I do think see as a problem tbh).

I keep hearing that we spent money january with figures bandied about 4mill etc. Can anyone link to anything where it shows what we spent as jan wouldnt have been in the accounts. Everything always seems to be undisclosed transfer fee.

It was well reported at the time that we'd paid 2m for Hjelde and around 2.5 for Mundle. There was also the loan for that lad who could play LB and CM and looked well below average at both.

Add all that up and we could have easily afforded the loan deal for the welsh lad and had a go at the playoffs.

Tbh, I don't think they wanted a striker in January. They'd had the whole world of football to scout and research for strikers, yet all they could come up with was Moore, who's wages we wouldn't have paid anyway.

It just didn't add up.

Which is why it is more frustrating that Donald took that parachute money and i don't believe he ever paid that back? or did i miss that?

Please, I hop your not insinuating that I'm lying ? We needed players that would improve the team, not spending £4m on players that nearly had us relegated. £4m is going to get you promoted...

Probs the KS ego, he got us 3 strikers who are looking duds and he is insisting we persevere in the hope 1 of them comes good.

I said it at the time, that 6th place finish did more harm than good for us. Massively raised expectations.

We relied on Amad in a lot of those games towards the end. Without him we’d probably have finished around 11th.

Us finishing 6th meant we as a fan base wanted another top 6 finish - and that’s without Amad.

We do have a basis of a good team mind, but we’re in desperate need of a proper central striker. Mendy or Ugbo would be good options to have with Mayenda & Rusyn as back up.
Pleased to say that you accept we had great expectations...

Sadly , the owner and some of his employees do not

Are you a TRUMP supporter ?🤣

That's a strange jump. My issue is the whole point of the model is we sell players for a profit and use the majority of that profit to buy new players we otherwise couldn't afford and therefore of a higher profile.

If we are not doing that then I don't think we are following the model as defined.

In order to do that we should have transfer budget to start with. Let's call that x. When we sell Stewart our transfer budget should then be x+stewartsale*%

If the result of x+stewartsale*% is not higher than the prior years x then that's irritating as we're not keeping up what the initial model was described as.

Anything else we spend money on should have no effect on this whatsoever. If we sell Stewart to improve the stadium that's not how the model was described. If we sell Stewart then give me personally £200,000 it would still be the same. Both other spends are irrelevant.

Selling Stewart should ALSO give us cash for other things depending on that percentage. But atm the percentage seems to be 0. Or at least less than 10. And that's not good enough
