Sorting out our midfield (browne) was of higher priority than signing a striker imo. We less dependent on a targetman if our midfield is better. The high press change more important also.
Mayenda is decent and fits in. Jobe can plsy there. Bring in 1 proper striker and I dont think its horrific. We've done the smart bit sorting the other stuff out imo

I think the striker and midfield were of at least equal priority.
The way we want to play means we need a forward that creates space for the likes of Clarke, Roberts etc to play by stretching the defence, running in behind and holding the ball up.
We had a perfect player to do that in Stewart and we’ve never replaced him, without that type of player defences can push up without worry which closes the space for our other attacking threats and even allows them to double up more effectively.
Browne was a much needed signing as well mind and I like the look of him but I just think the right forward player was at least as important

Mayenda still looks very raw imo. We need two forwards capable of contributing from the off.

Literally everything had been done bar the medical, all personal terms, deal agreed with his club, went out to celebrate in Mexico City the night before he was flying over to complete it and some knacker shot him in the head in a nightclub's toilet and obviously stopped the move from happening.f***ing what?
