On the other point, I’m not so sure it’s weird.
I would be 100% Speakman out if we were “no further forward” in signing a striker than we were 18 months ago.
In my view we are further forward and indeed just about to sign one so for me, the jury is out on Speakman.

We need 2 CF's in. If we only bring 1 in and they pick up an injury we are back where we started.
As a team, we are no further forward until we actually sign a striker. What part of that are you finding it hard to understand? I can't really comment how far forward we are into the process of signing one as I haven't got a clue, neither have you. Or are you still pretending to be ITK?

In judging the work performance of individuals though, we should probably consider the amount of effort that is being put in - as I said, if there was no evidence of any attempt to sign a striker, I’d be 100% Speakman & KLD out.
In terms of being an ITK, I think you’re confusing me with someone else as I’ve never and will never claim that. What I said earlier in the thread was that if dicannios knees seemed to think we we’re almost there, that was good enough for me.

I'd agree if it was this transfer window in isolation, but I've literally lost count of how many windows have come and gone without addressing the issue. I'm not wanting them out at this moment, but I do stand by my initial point that's it's shambolic that it looks like we'll be starting the season without a proven/experience striker to lead the line

I think the failures of the previous windows are well documented. Since the “lessons have been learnt” message, I’ve been prepared to give them another chance.
I think if it hadn’t been for Mbappe, we would have had a striker in, but as others have said, we probably need 2 and should have a plan C, D and E.
The next few weeks should be interesting.
