Who appoints a manager without a press conference?

They know they've fucked up completely. The whole thing is seriously embarrassing. Speakman talking about our core principles after we've been smashed 6-0 off Bolton and turned over by Doncaster and Cheltenham ffs. What principles? We're an absolute joke. And it's due to their utter failures.

We're second off bottom of the form league, it's an absolute disgrace.
That interview last Saturday by Speakman the spokesman was ridiculous. It now stinks of Methven all over it.
Snidey shithouses are running our club.

Look man football fans are fickle as fuck it's all about winning. Nee one cares if your club is run by morons or by terrorists just look at the mags.

2 or 3'wins in a row and speakman will be a god and KLD the best owner ever that's what football fans are like always have been always will be
I understand & agree with what you're saying, it must be me that has lingering memories of times that everyone was forgiven after club wrecking decisions.

I reckon the no conference was Neil's idea. More important to get on with the job, taking the one session he could at the AoL, and then heading off with the team to be on the touchline tomorrow. Getting his priorities right. Sorting the team is more important that spouting a few platitudes to journos.
You may be right. On the other hand in normal circumstances we’d have KLD or Speakman the Spokesman welcoming him and facing the music, I mean the media.
They just don’t fancy it.
Shithouses.

Whilst I agree the players need a kick up the arse, what the last few games have shown is that they need some actual coaching. We don’t look like a team who knows what they’re doing on the pitch and we capitulate totally when going behind. If Keane had come in and lost the first few his head would’ve gone in my view. I’d like Neil to bring some kind of system and coach the players into a gameplan and get a bit of consistency back.

Haway Alex, let’s all get behind him now

Was always my choice( even though I love keane)..pragmatic..good man manager..and tactically astute..he has my backing...Welcome Alex!!!...STID!!!

“Throughout his career, Alex has demonstrated that he can make an immediate and lasting impact. He expressed a clear vision on how he wants to take the team forward, which strongly aligns with our core principals, and we firmly believe that he can influence performances and results in the short term. We are grateful to our supporters for their patience throughout what has undoubtedly been a challenging period and thank Mike Dodds and Michael Proctor for overseeing our first-team programme in the interim. Now, our immediate priority is to support Alex and the team to ensure we deliver promotion this season and reward the faith continuously placed in us by our supporters.”

It’s ‘principles’ Kris mate
Who said this ?
