Not your fault mate. This sounds like the Dell Takeover all over again, people close to the deal being overconfident and leaking out that its done when it hasn't been.
It sounds very much like the fpp deal. Which makes me think that the ultimate source for a lot of the "its done" stuff was probably the same salmon trousered bellend that was banging on about how rich the club was going to be to anyone that would listen when fpp were interested. I doubt he's the direct source, but pretty sure he'll be mouthing off to people and it'll get back to lads who pass it on to people

But he's more successful in football than Roy Keane!!!!!

So presumably he’s taking training today.

Let’s hope even with one day’s input we can look a bit less car crash waiting to happen when we take to the field tomorrow.

Hopefully get it confirmed this morning. Wonder if hes taking training today? Dont want them clowns in charge again tomorrow
It has to be. I mean, while they were discussing things with Keane the one thing they probably did right was continuing the interviews etc in the background in case he said no. Presumably the point of that was so that they could jump straight to their second choice if Keane turned it down. I'm pretty certain it'll be announced today, if it isn't its just absolute incompetence to add to the rest of the cluster fuck they've made of the last two weeks

They’ll be doing the handover and giving player feedback.
I’m not expecting anything positive for the first couple of games.
I hope I’m wrong.

When you take a step back from the whole Keane nostalgia, Alex Neil is a better appointment to be fair & I love Keane.

He’s managed within the last decade for a start!
If you take managerial records alone, if Keane didn’t manage us 15 years ago then I’m pretty the overall enthusiasm wouldn’t be to get him back. Neil’s record is probably at least as good, if not better - within a more recent time.

I was 10 when Keane took charge, so the nostalgic aspect for me is relatively limited.

Hi everyone,

I was hoping yesterday was a nightmare, sadly not. It’s not unfair or inaccurate to state the club is in an utter mess.

1 The club could not convince RK to come, Keane has looked, listened and said no thanks, can you blame him!
2 Transfer deadline signed more wingers instead of bringing in cover at CH and CF.Schoolboy error in allowing Flanagan to leave before getting a replacement. Please don’t tell me Roberts and Clarke are cover for Stewart, they aren’t, Defoe had played 8 mins of football.
3 The clap trap about Long term Plan, Process, Data Driven is corporate speke, the sacking of LJ makes a mockery of what has been previously said.
4 KS ex U23’s at Birmingham is our DOF the largest club outside PL, out of his depth, who else did we interview for such an important position? Data Driven my arse.
5 Club aren’t prepared to tell its supporters the shareholding status in the club. Maddox ie SD CM still to pay back the parachute money they used to buy the club.
6 Neill could only given to the end of the season, so they aren’t totally convinced then!
7 The pitch is a disgrace, biggest club in the league and we have probably the worst playing surface.

We deserve so so much better, I have never ever felt so deflated in a club that I live and die for. The club is going to lose a vast amount of its supporters and possibly forever.

How uninspiring this appointment is.
Not disagreeing with sentiment but let’s be realistic here, who’s gonna come to a third division club, who, given the Keane debacle, are clearly unprofessional behind the scenes, and who’s fans aren’t expecting success, they’re demanding it. Hard job for the lad. Oh and our form isn’t brilliant:)

You have went from supposedly ITK to listing a load of stuff people already knew.

Hello, Steve. I think you've damaged your credibility over the last few days. It might be wise to keep your head down.
