I think he will be widely accepted with a sigh of relief that it isnt Mccann so should be reet.

For what its worth I think hes an astute manager, seems a hard bloke too which is what we need. Think he will be a safe pair of hands and quickly stop us looking like a mess like we do currently.

He had more of a chance with us purely because of sentiment. From a footballing aspect he wasn't the best choice.

That last paragraph can also be said for Defoe as well. We seem to have a weird obsession rehiring players and managers from the past. Are other clubs like this?

Pretty much the same win% with Norwich as Farke (Neil 41.7, Farke 41.8).

Not my first choice, but a long way from my last choice. I think he’ll do well for us (although I said almost exactly this about Johnson so I don’t have a great track record).

Not sure but I always expected us to beat them until he took over. We had a really good team but they were a lot better than us over the season and beat us comfortably in the playoff final.
