They were a basket case who reneged on the agreed budget. They sacked him and then chewed through managers and kept on sinking and are currently in a far worse case than us.

Who cares, quite frankly?

Priority shouldn’t be about getting 40k in just because a ‘name’ manager has been appointed and instead in appointing the right head coach. And that patently wasn’t – as someone touted was a good reason here earlier – because we bought into the Roy Keane Pet Rehab & Unfinished Business Project.

There was 39,000 at the weekend – the Defoe boost – and we still got turned over by the bottom club.
 
I must admit that considering the meltdown at only 11am today, I'm buoyed by the fact so many are happy with Neil.

I thought he had no chance at 12 noon but now I think he's got a fighting chance.
