Alan Brazil talksport

Good presenter?
Bloody hell, he can barely read an autocue, slurs his words, is completely out of date with regards modern day football and offers practically zero insight into any other sports.

And he’s an absolute dinosaur in terms of modern day thinking. A good presenter is Mark Chapman, Dave Jones, Gaby Yorath or Kelly Cates. Brazil is just a blabbering, old boys club mess.
Going to put you in maybe pile for his presenting skills then

I think the general argument is that the women's team have generated greater revenue overall than the men's team for years (could be wrong on that but have seen it in various articles) but get paid about 5 times less.

And yeah, the tradition from the bigger men's national teams is to give their fees away but I think 1) it's more symbolic than anything else, and 2) the woman earn a lot less overall and might not be in a position to give it away - we aren't talking the likes of Pulisic earning £100k per week trying to haggle over relative buttons.

So the England team are paid disproportionately? Is this article out of date and things have changed? If the article is correct, the England's women team have received the same match fee as the men's since 2020.

The disparity appears to be from competition winnings, which will no doubt be determined by sponsorship deals/income, if the percentages are unfair then that should be challenged, but I recall recently the women's game were struggling to agree a TV deal for one of the major competitions.

I was listening 2 mornings this week and yeah he's a bit bland. Absolutely brilliant on Sky but I can't blame him for not wanting to work weekends.

Brazil is good. He's a fat free loading mess but strangely likeable 😂
Brazil is 100% old school talk sport. The likes of him and Mike Parry, appealing to a certain male audience. I think the station has tried to move on over the last few years, although you only have to listen carefully to the adverts during the commercial breaks to understand the demographic Brazil appeals to.

Off topic a little ( but still relevant I hope?)
I watched a fantastic game of football on you tube the other night .
France v Croatia -Nations League quarter final
No commentary just the sound of the crowd-it was brilliant .
Went to penalties after extra time and the tension without someone talking inane rubbish and spoiling it was fantastic.
Sometimes maybe less is more ?

We were on about the USA? I didn't know the English FA paid the men and women the same, in that case the women are obviously paid disproportionately high because they don't generate anywhere near the same revenue.

But the USMNT/USWNT came up because - as far as I'm aware - that's the only case of a women's team 'demanding' equal pay, they were involved in a high profile legal challenge because they generate higher revenue but are paid much less. It seems the FA has done this off their own bat which is up to them.

Oh sorry mate, ignore me! I thought you were talking about England.

Erm, ‘found’ a channel for the 0-3 yellow kit Mags game which was also crowd noise only. The boy spoilt it a bit by rushing over to listen to Barnes and Benno on the radio for Borini’s penna- we were about 2 minutes behind 😅

I think it’s a better way to watch a game no commentary (personal choice obviously)

Worth a bump, the Swiss Womens football team took on a boys under 15 team from a random nearby club and lost 7-1

Every female in the media thats argued for equal pay should be made to explain what in the world happened there. The worrying thing is 99% will say they still deserve equal pay.

I think more information is required to make an informed judgement

I don't think they're a random club - a quick Google says they play in the top flight. Random suggests grass roots - these are academy players.

And can you back it up with a viable & credible link ?
