The only place wimmen footballers demand equal/better pay is in the US and that’s becos the demand and finances of their game over there is greater than in the US men’s game. Which by your logic……

the us woman’s national team may attract more fans than the mens but the domestic leagues isn’t even remotely comparable in terms of bums on seats.

The average gate in the US women’s league is currently 12,458 making it the most attended women’s league in the world.
The best supported team is currently Angel FC with an average of 19,728.

The MLS has more teams and much more expensive admission prices and currently averages 22, 127.
The best supported team is currently Atlanta United with an average of 50,309.

The problem is the woman game is shown on free to air TV whilst the men’s MLS can only be viewed when paying an Apple subscription.

It’s the national team players on the lasses team that are asking for more money from the national association than the mational association pay the lads team. But you already knew that.

I always hope it’s to read that he’s left/ retired/ been sacked. He’s atrocious and the most annoying thing is, it’s a brilliant show with Jeff Stelling or even when Ally stands in as main presenter. I can’t understand why they haven’t got shot of him before now.

But then you'd have to question what sponsorship they bring in, are the gate receipts more? TV income?

I thought people give away the money they earned playing for the national team anyhow as it was an honour to do so.

Bloody hell, he can barely read an autocue, slurs his words, is completely out of date with regards modern day football and offers practically zero insight into any other sports.

And he’s an absolute dinosaur in terms of modern day thinking. A good presenter is Mark Chapman, Dave Jones, Gaby Yorath or Kelly Cates. Brazil is just a blabbering, old boys club mess.

I think the general argument is that the women's team have generated greater revenue overall than the men's team for years (could be wrong on that but have seen it in various articles) but get paid about 5 times less.

And yeah, the tradition from the bigger men's national teams is to give their fees away but I think 1) it's more symbolic than anything else, and 2) the woman earn a lot less overall and might not be in a position to give it away - we aren't talking the likes of Pulisic earning £100k per week trying to haggle over relative buttons.
