Agreed. And yet you are struggling to.

That's a poor example. Be more apt if a player scored a class goal and then McCoist mentioned a similar goal in the women's league from the same club and Fatty chimed in with no one gives a toss.

Fair enoigh mate, I could be wrong of course (not the first or last time 🤣), but just feel from previous comments made by the board, that nobody at Man U really cares for the women's team.

It's a needless comment and isn't being asked his opinion.

Your example was a particularly poor one. Someone states a goal is really good and rather than critique the goal he gives his opinion that the player isn't very good :lol:

I’ve never said he was asked his opinion, I said he gave his opinion, which he is paid to do. Why read the statement if nobody was going to give an opinion, just say “aye” and move on? You may aswell just read the news!

No. Critique the point being made, it's merits etc. He's giving an opinion on something that isn't part of the debate.

Had she said the project is very important to fans you could understand him saying no one cares.

Just like your example if someone says a goal is really good and then him offering his opinion that he thinks the player is shite. Completely irrelevant to the point that it was a great goal.

Fair enough....each to their own. I suppose its like anything else in that you get what you pay for. Personally I really believe Sunderland should be competing in the Premiership but until we can do that I am happy as long as we are mainly winning and playing decent football. This season has been really enjoyable as was the one two seasons ago

Isn't that true? How many people who follow Sunderland are bothered about the women's team? Doesn't mean we're patronising women, or don't want them to enjoy playing the game, and don't think good luck to them, and don't think the women's game isn't decent to watch and actually they play the game in the right spirit (the men's game could learn a thing or two from them there).

But, in the big picture it's not important to us, and that's all Brazil was saying as far as I can tell. The crowds back that up. Doesn't mean lasses can't enjoy playing the game and aim to be the best they can, they'll get recognition although as Brazil says it won't be anywhere near the recognition the men's game and its players get.

Don't think there's anything misogynistic and dinosaurish in what he said.

So if your daughter is in a mixed group, and some lads talk about their game, if your daughter pipes up about her team as part of the conversation remember to tell her her team is shite compared to the lads.

She didn't say it was a priority. She said she agrees the men is the priority. So what's he garn on about? That's the point.

As I mentioned I don't think she did concede the men's team was the priority at Man U. But irrespective of that, he's chipped in with a comment that in his opinion most Man U fans don't care about the lasses side...... For all the overreaction on this thread, in the context of that conversation was it actually so controversial?

If she did then fine I'll take your word for it. But still his comment in the scheme of the comments on here was just an opinion, and was it that controversial that warrants posters on here that haven't been offended by it, being labelled sexist or misogynist?

It was in context because they were discussing Man U as a whole, and this new project. And as it was the whole club, he had the opinion that most Man U fans didn't have an interest in the lasses side. How is that controversial?
