Coz there'd be total hell on...come on you know that. Why doesn't he then?
Agreed. And yet you are struggling to.It was to do with the discussion though. The club released a plan to get them back to the top of the game and were asking fans to get onboard, the plan included the women's team to which he responded that fans weren’t interested in the women’s team. Honestly mate, it really isn’t that hard to understand.
If a certain player scores and McCoist wants to talk about how good is goal was, is Brazil not allowed to digress slightly and for instance comment on how he doesn’t rate the player particularly. Or should he just say “aye” and keep his thoughts to himself?
No. Poor interpretation. You would say to your daughter, who is bang into womens footie, don't get into it as much as you are, because it's not as relevant as mens football. Great parenting!
Fair enoigh mate, I could be wrong of course (not the first or last timeNot a dig at you mate but it is funny that when there’s someone directly involved it’s “box ticking”
How? People keep telling me on here the markets dictate. Why on earth would he keep flogging a dead horse? They were only formed in 2018Coz there'd be total hell on...come on you know that.
Nope. It's pretty much exactly what you said.No. Poor interpretation.
In terms of Brazil giving his opinion when a certain point is raised, it’s a perfect example.Agreed. And yet you are struggling to.
That's a poor example. Be more apt if a player scored a class goal and then McCoist mentioned a similar goal in the women's league from the same club and Fatty chimed in with no one gives a toss.
It's a needless comment and isn't being asked his opinion. In terms of Brazil giving his opinion when a certain point is raised, it’s a perfect example.
It’s not what I said at all. You’ve conveniently missed pertinent points out, I wonder why…How? People keep telling me on here the markets dictate. Why on earth would he keep flogging a dead horse? They were only formed in 2018

I’ve never said he was asked his opinion, I said he gave his opinion, which he is paid to do. Why read the statement if nobody was going to give an opinion, just say “aye” and move on? You may aswell just read the news! It's a needless comment and isn't being asked his opinion.
What's the pertinent point? That you are a poor parent? It’s not what I said at all. You’ve conveniently missed pertinent points out, I wonder why…
No. Critique the point being made, it's merits etc. He's giving an opinion on something that isn't part of the debate. It’s not what I said at all. You’ve conveniently missed pertinent points out, I wonder why…

I like the women’s cricket I can watch that like, the women’s footy is not for me but other people enjoy it, let them enjoy it life is too short
StevenBoth good standards, women's cricket and football.
Fair enough....each to their own. I suppose its like anything else in that you get what you pay for. Personally I really believe Sunderland should be competing in the Premiership but until we can do that I am happy as long as we are mainly winning and playing decent football. This season has been really enjoyable as was the one two seasons agoThere are lots of folk who have turned their backs on ‘elite’ men’s football, either through being priced out or disillusioned by the modern game.
Some of those are watching lower league or non league, others grass roots and some the women’s game. It’s a conversation I’ve had at places like South Shields, York City and the example above of the Man U supporter at Leigh.
I’ve clarified the honesty thing. Play acting, diving, trying the con the ref to get an opponent booked or sent off.
Very much a men’s football problem and especially higher up the pyramid. There’s also zero ‘edge’, racism, homophobia in comparison.
I don't think she did agree the men's game is the priority at Man U mind.Nope. They were discussing man utds rebuild and projects. The womens game is one of the projects. She even seperated the two and agreed the mens game is priority. Fatty couldve just said "aye" and moved on rather than saying no one gives a toss.
So if your daughter is in a mixed group, and some lads talk about their game, if your daughter pipes up about her team as part of the conversation remember to tell her her team is shite compared to the lads.
She didn't say it was a priority. She said she agrees the men is the priority. So what's he garn on about? That's the point.Don't see the problem with what Brazil said at all:
“With the greatest respect, women's football is getting important nowYou must be logged on to see external linksbut when you talk about Manchester United, this is the men’s we’re talking about, the Premier League when we’re talking about mission impossible, not the women’s. It isn’t a priority. I’m sorry, people around them are not bothered. It is true. They’re not bothered. Within the bigger picture, they’re not.”
Isn't that true? How many people who follow Sunderland are bothered about the women's team? Doesn't mean we're patronising women, or don't want them to enjoy playing the game, and don't think good luck to them, and don't think the women's game isn't decent to watch and actually they play the game in the right spirit (the men's game could learn a thing or two from them there).
But, in the big picture it's not important to us, and that's all Brazil was saying as far as I can tell. The crowds back that up. Doesn't mean lasses can't enjoy playing the game and aim to be the best they can, they'll get recognition although as Brazil says it won't be anywhere near the recognition the men's game and its players get.
Don't think there's anything misogynistic and dinosaurish in what he said.
She did. Watch it back. I mean he was even waffling on about mission 21 as well and saying it was about the men as if she said it wasn't. 21 is the number of titles reference. Currently on 20. She didn't once dispute it.I don't think she did agree the men's game is the priority at Man U mind.
As I mentioned I don't think she did concede the men's team was the priority at Man U. But irrespective of that, he's chipped in with a comment that in his opinion most Man U fans don't care about the lasses side...... For all the overreaction on this thread, in the context of that conversation was it actually so controversial? She didn't say it was a priority. She said she agrees the men is the priority. So what's he garn on about?
She did. It's not controversial. Its fact. People are asking why he said it when it wasn't even being debated. There was no need to.As I mentioned I don't think she did concede the men's team was the priority at Man U. If she did then fine I'll take your word for it. But still his comment in the scheme of the comments on here was just an opinion, and was it that controversial that warrants posters on here that haven't been offended by it, being labelled sexist or misogynist? She didn't say it was a priority. It was in context because they were discussing Man U as a whole, and this new project. And as it was the whole club, he had the opinion that most Man U fans didn't have an interest in the lasses side. How is that controversial? She did. It's not controversial. Its fact.
