Alan Brazil talksport

Some women's sports are better to watch than men's, tennis springs to mind when I used to watch a lot of tennis. Reckon the women's football game has a lot more quality in it than many would suggest and it's got a competitive advantage in that the game is played in a much better spirit.

But, football is an entirely different sport to tennis. There are all of the things that go on around football that make it such a compelling sport, e.g. tribal fans supporting their town/city/area as much as the football club. It's been like this for more than a century. I can't see that same being transferred to the women's game in my lifetime.
Good points around supporting the team away from the actual football itself.

Aye, it's a unique sport in the way it consumes so many people, and it does that for so many reasons that have nothing to do with the playing of the game itself. The men's game is also deep-rooted in the social fabric. Just really talking about popularity of the women's game versus the men's game but it must be far more difficult to compete with men's game than say athletics or tennis because of the importance of football as the flagship for a whole community going back a couple of centuries. Football is more than a game which marks it out as different to other sports.

Can’t stand the bloke he’s an absolute bell
However let him have his say and opinion, fed up of people being so PC it’s becoming a bore.
Women’s footy to me is also very boring and I rarely can sit through a full game and usually walk away or change channels.
If you love it great.

Facebook comments are interesting as a barometer to some extent as it’s not anonymous posting.
Take it as you wish but anytime there is a new story along these sorts of lines the feedback from normal people is in the majority supportive of people like Brazil and Joey Barton etc.

It's Facebook. Mainly utter plums.
Perfectly easy to understand.

You don’t like the answer so call it strange, with no explanation.
Your scenario didnt fit the example bring discussed. At no point did the woman compare men and women's football. She even said men's game is priority. You seem to want to remind everyone that men's football is vastly superior, more popular and more lucrative. Things everyone already knows. So why you'd want to tell your daughter it is bizarre.

What a great listen this morning.

The intolerable shebane waffling on about the Man Utd ‘project’ trying to shoe horn the womens team into it.

Brazil ‘nobody gives a stuff about the womens team’

Somebody had to say it 😂😂😂
cool story bro.
did you jerk off over the Jewson's advert?

The discussion wasn't about who likes women's football though so he had no reason to say no one gives a toss about it.

He's been turfed for calling her a boiler.
I like the women’s cricket I can watch that like, the women’s footy is not for me but other people enjoy it, let them enjoy it life is too short
Men are much better at cricket.

This is my stance too, I prefer the women’s tennis, throws up more surprises. Women’s sport is brilliant at times, I’ve struggled with women’s football as I find it slow. Anyone who watches it and genuinely loves it. Great! That is what the world should be about, enjoying what you want not what the masses say

Because people are blatantly trying to give it more relevance that it commands. You were obviously trying to compare the scenario with the Alan Brazil scenario by saying would you continually remind her it will never be as big as the men’s sport - as you insinuate Brazil did. Brazil only did it because the woman was including it in the plan and giving it more relevance than she should.

Nope. They were discussing man utds rebuild and projects. The womens game is one of the projects. She even seperated the two and agreed the mens game is priority. Fatty couldve just said "aye" and moved on rather than saying no one gives a toss.

So if your daughter is in a mixed group, and some lads talk about their game, if your daughter pipes up about her team as part of the conversation remember to tell her her team is shite compared to the lads.
