Alan Brazil talksport

Never listen to him and don’t know the context on how he said it but apart from the odd big match or tournament he’s probably right.

There's a fair few women's game on terrestrial TV. I notice it in passing but don't watch.

It's a bit like Scottish football in that the bigger teams are massively ahead of the smaller teams so you get regular scores of 5 and 6 nils. It's not a good look.

Again I see the odd score, like seeing Celtic win 6-0 the other night but having no interest in Scottish football either.
That’s fine you have no interest. But some folks do, hence big viewing figures and decent crowds at women’s championship games.

Once again, some people are missing the bigger picture here.

The number of women who give up/lose interest in sport tails off far quicker than men. I can't see how anyone would argue that's a good thing.

If watching women play sport – people like them – on TV encourages other young women/girls to take an interest in and, hopefully, participate in it then any right-minded person should encourage it.

There are a dozen or so Sky Sports channels. There are hundreds more other TV channels to watch, let alone YouTube etc. Don't want to watch women's sport? You're literally a button click away from being able to do so. And if you're cancelling Sky Sports, etc, because of women's sport – well that's some crazy batshit business right there.

Glad to hear one of our veteran sports presenters having a dig at the woman's game

They've had it too good for too long. They need to be bought down a peg.

and before you ask, how could I hate women? My Mum's one.

Apparently you can't get moved for it being talked about. And yet if it wasn't for this place moaning on about it i'd never hear of it.

I only really watch sunderland and whoever is on , on a sunday at 4pm and I know this sounds awful but womens football might as well be a completely different sport really. Too slow and just not exciting but what really spoils it for me is the goalies are all crap. The goals are too big really, seems daft having some 5ft 8 goalie in a goal the same size as what a 6ft 4 bloke would usually stand in. Most shots on target pretty much go in
Average woman in the UK nowadays is the same size as the average man in 1890 when football went professional. Were the goals too big for the men’s game back then?

Have you seen men’s keepers on film footage pre 1950? They dove about as badly as the women’s keepers do now.

Woman’s pro game is at the stage the men’s pro game was in 1905.

Average size men are rarely goalkeepers. They never have been. Men are also more athletic than women
