Just about manages to squeeze work inbetween drinking sessions and a bit sleep.

Its exposure definately eclipses its popularity and imo thats cos snyone pushing back on owt would get shite.

Im all for the womens game however.

Combining things like “meet the captains” night at the sol. 99% are buying a ticket to hear Dan neil, and wont give 2 fucks on the other captains thoughts, or even know her name. Just have separate events.

Wait til you get lured in on Sky with 'Chelsea v Man City' at 12pm on a Sunday only to be disappointed.
 
Sky need to make the women’s games a separate subscription from the men’s games, I cancelled the sports package as I don’t want to watch women’s cricket or football and basically the men’s games on there are subsidising the women’s, driving prices up. Advertisers would soon stop paying for low viewing figures.

I have zero issue with women playing it but media coverage eclipses the actual popularity and product.

Then when you get someone calling it for what it is (Brazil) the usual misogynistic, sexist etc tropes get trotted out.

If I was constantly seeing, reading and hearing about carpet bowls I’d say that was nonsensical as well.

Why would they? People who want to meet the mens captain won't decide not to because there's also a woman captain on. Sane way you'd not sack off a band because of the support act.

Both events will need staffing so I'd suggest it will be cost effective.

It might be box ticking but I honestly don't get why anyone gives a toss. Mind I also don't understand why anyone would want to go to a meet the captain event in general unless you're a young kid :lol:

It was just an example of how people try to combine the 2 ‘sports’.

Well they can at least put Dan Neil on first so everyone can fuck off home after him.
