Akpom

Not sure, It's possible it's just fragile psyches.
Despite our win on Tuesday, I noticed there were some went into a despair tailspin when Leeds & Burnley won the following evening...
As if WE could have done something to stop it. Baffling.
I get that were been thru some hard times bad experiences and false dawns ... no more so that the debacle of last year. But some just seem I a perpetual state of moan. Nothing is ever hopeful
Just look at any Sunderland city related Facebook post comments, no matter what development is announced they instantly look for the negative, even on great things for the city like the film studios.

Unfortunately this city is full of small time, average joes, who have done nowt in their lives and are bitter about it. Their negative and fearful mindset is what keeps them down.
You could say that of any town or city ... yet we seem to have more than our fair share. Bleak lives .. pretty sad

I asked how a mod of a site could possibly refuse to admit they are wrong.

Has Akpom played in the prem? Did you say he hadn’t?

He went on loan a lot because he couldn’t get in the arsenal team. Since leaving arsenal he’s played for 3 teams at the age of 29, hardly a journeyman.

I love how you’re completely picking and choosing stats and leaving out others.

“Vardy pulled up trees in his early 20’s”. At age 24 Vardy was playing for a CONFERENCE side. He was signed by Leicester when he was 25 going on 26.

Seen as your so intent in comparing Akpom why do you keep mentioning when he was a bairn, what did Akpom do at age 24 Keith? Did he score at a much higher level than Vardy, is the Greek premier league a higher level than the conference? What about the championship considering Akpom scored championship goals at age 24.

You do this all the time Keith, you pick and choose stats and double down until your blue in the face, your like my 5 year old, you cannot admit you are wrong sometimes. Simply refuse, and to make it worse you then try to make out people are stupid to make yourself feel better and use your “status” to pain people out as thick, rather than holding your hands up. Even going as far as resorting to insults, it’s completely unprofessional and that’s why it’s laughable your a mod.
You're so tedious

Why you making stuff up?

Clarke had played for 4 clubs prior to playing for us.
Sorry, he was loaned back to Leeds from Spurs - so 6 when he was 23 - Leeds (x2), Spurs, QPR, Stoke, Sunderland, Ipswich
Akpom 7 (mainly loans)

So the cutoff is 6 vs 7 to be labeled a journeyman, and 2 stints at one club doesn't count (do the other loans from Spurs count, just not the Leeds one?) - sorry for making that up.

Much like pedigree only counts in the Le Fee argument for not playing, and not the Vardy argument about goalscoring in the conference.

So 4 prior to us not 7.

Gotcha.

Where does before us come into it? We're talking about the journeyman label you decided upon, using the number of clubs Akpom has been to, and someone asked what constitutes that label. As most of Akpom's were loans before he was 24/25 I used Clarke as comparator - Clarke just turned 24. He's had 6 clubs, 7 different stints. Very similar comparator. Jesus, talk about tying yourself in Gordian knots over this

You were the one who tried to compare something that wasn't very similar 😂

Akpom had 6 unsuccessful loans over 6 seasons. Jack Clarke had 2.
