As a Boro fan if you play Akpom as a 10 I think he’d be the difference between you finishing 3rd/4th & going up automatically. Watch the 28 goals he scored for Boro. He’s in his prime years, quick, strong, athletic, brushes markers off, links up play brilliantly, see’s a pass and scores goals. Obviously would be horrible seeing in him in a Sunderland kit mind

His goal to game ratio at Ajax last season wasn’t bad, not sure how he’s done this season. Archer played on the shoulder and he exploited the space in between. Isador and Akpom would be quality imo.

I drove from Hartlepool to Boro yesterday,thought I was in Chernobyl through Port Clarence .there was a massive disused OilRig ,, it was daunting .
His goalscoring record isn't amazing but it wasn't bad at all last season and it was obviously superb in his last season at Boro.
Not a number 9 but definitely a 'forward' and a goalscorer. Seems to have played wide a bit more for Ajax than he did for Boro. Not really sure what his all-round game is like outside of goalscoring.
Would be an interesting signing for sure.
