Aitor Karanka?

It's only now that many Boro fans are realising just what a good job he did here.

It's a bit of a myth that he was an ultra negative manager. We were negative during the Premier League season, but during the Championship season we were actually really good to watch at times. We had a great shape, very solid defensively but we had just enough quality at the other end of the pitch to unlock defences and score goals. You knew after we took the lead we were 100% going to win, and our home record under him was exceptional.

His temperament has always been an issue, and he'd pretty much lost the plot at the end of his tenure but if Gibson had have stuck by him he almost certainly would have taken us straight back up, especially if he'd have had £50m to spend like Monk. We'd probably still be in the Premier League now.

If you could get him it would be massive but there's no chance of him taking on the job when you're in League One.

I know he is another defensive Manager, but if you are going to do defensive football you have to be good at it. Ross tried in vein but failed.
Boro had the 5th best defensive record in the Premier League when he left by mutual consent.
At Nottingham Forest they were 3 points off a play off position when he asked to be released.
He has the sort of temperament that if it is not working he does not need to be sacked, he walks.
43% win ratio at Championship/Premier level makes His CV quite appealing.

There is no way Donald could afford him, even if he was willing to drop down to league one

Anyone contemplating a nice piece of fiction as a Xmas present could do worse than buy a subscription to this site. Hardly any of it is based in reality

So We are all .Problem we have is we have players that can’t attack for toffee .Useless plodders throughout the team .

thanks to Jack Ross .
And they can't defend either, so what's the point of sitting back and waiting for the inevitable late in the game kick in the bollocks?
